Ch. 5: In the Wind

Hyunwoo

~ outside of Choi Junwoo's residence~

"You two go that way. We will go this way," I told Changkyun and Jooheon. They nod and go around the back to cut off Junwoo from escaping. Kihyun walks straight up to the door and without hesitation knocks on the door. It was silent for three minutes before the door opens slightly.

"Hello, there. Are you Choi Junwoo ssi," Kihyun says in a sweet tone.

"That depends on who's asking," Junwoo replies.

"Ah, yes. I am a friend of Jung Kiseok. He asked me...," Kihyun begins to lie. Junwoo's eyes widen in surprised and he quickly tried to shut the door in our faces. But, I thrusted my foot between the door sill and door preventing him from do just so. 

He gasps, and runs away down a hall toward the back of the house. Kihyun and I give chase. He knocks over several things in hopes of slowing us down. It did work somewhat. He reaches the back door and throws it open to only discover that Changkyun and Jooheon were waiting for him. Junwoo grabs onto Jooheon and half throws half shoves him onto Changkyun before making a run for it. 

I hoped over them and ran to catch up. Kihyun was following me from close behind. Junwoo hops over the fence,  and continues to lead us on a chase. I hopped over it too. After chasing him around in the alleyways, I  was about to catch a hold of the perp at one point, but he managed to give me the slip. I cursed under my breath and tried to figure out where he went. 

Instinctively, I chose the alleyway on my left, and it ended up being the right one. "Stop right there," I shouted when I saw him at the other end. Just my luck, he shoves someone off their parked motorcycle, got on, and sped away. 

Fuck...
