Ch. 29: Coffee Date (Part 1)

Hyunwoo

~after they sat down for a few minutes~

 Kihyun set Grey down on the floor before rifling through his bag. He pulls out two small tubberwares. One is filled with water while the other is filled with dog food. Kihyun pops open the lids before setting them down in front of the puppy. Grey sniffs his food while wagging his tail for a few seconds before taking a kibble into his mouth and eating it.

"Order # 41," someone shouts from behind the counter. Kihyun started to get up to go get our order.

"Wait here. I'll go get them," I said as I got up.

Kihyun levels me a glare daring me to keeping talking. For some strange reason, I instantly felt the need to sit back down, so I did. Kihyun then walks off to the counter to get our drinks. When he gets back, he sets my drink in front of me and pushes the small jug of half and half plus a small jar of sugar towards me. 

"Thank you," I said.

"Hmm, I should be thanking you for paying for the treat I was going treat you to," he says with a half smile.

  I shook my head and said, "No need."

He nods and takes a sip of his latte. "So...do you come to this place often," he asks.

"Yeah, I come here every morning that I am not working. It's a good workout," I answered, and then added the creamer to my cup of coffee.

"Hmm, can't relate. I'm not one to exercise," Kihyun says before taking another sip of his coffee.

"I don't think you would need too. You look very fit to me."

Kihyun laughs and then says, "Psh, if you saw my tum- stomach, you would know that isn't true."

"I beg to differ. The clothes you usually wear are tight fitting. I never saw any fat."

"Oh? You have been looking at me that closely before," he asks with one eye brow raised. 

"I- Um- No," I stammered as my cheeks burned from embarrassment.
