Ch. 100: RiaDBSC (Part 7)

Hyunwoo

We joined in on the chase and I can see that it is taking a toll on Kihyun as he is not in peak condition at the moment. Eventually, I saw the Silver Roses' right hand man  surrounded by the others. He has nowhere to go but forward. I can tell that they were apprehensive of engaging him as he is one tough son of b****.

"There is no where to go. Surrender," I said when Kihyun and I caught up to them. He then smirks before laughing like a mad man for a few seconds. Then, he stops and stares at us with a stare that was so chilling that I shivered inadvertently. He pulls out a knife from behind him and threw it straight at me. 

Before I could react, the knife stops right in front of me. I blinked rapidly and saw that someone had  caught it with his or her bare hand. Blood trickles down the blade and then onto the floor. I looked to the side to see that it was Kihyun who did it. "Kihyun, you-," I stammered as I couldn't think of what to say. I grabbed his wrist and forced him to let go. 

I turned his hand over to see two cut marks: one on the beginning of his thumb and another along the area just below where his fingers connect to the rest of his hand. "Shit, Ki. You-," I began to say but the rest of what I said is muffled by gunshots.

I tore my gaze away from him and saw that my officers had shot the bad guy but  I couldn't tell where exactly. In the next second, Kihyun pushes past everyone to get to the bad guy. "Where is your boss?! Tell me," he shouts at the bleeding criminal and shakes him. 

The right hand man just smiles devilishly before spitting at Kihyun's face. Kihyun raises his fist to hit him but I grabbed onto him and pulled him off. "Let go of me, Hyunwoo," he shouts and tries to get out of my grip. 

"Kihyun, don't stoop to his level," I retorted in a firm tone.
