Ch. 95: Revenge Is A Dish Best Served Cold (Part 2)

~a few minutes later~

~outside of the Silver Roses HQ~

"Attention all units, the Captain has given the okay to enter. Go! Go! Go," an officer shouted through my walkie talkie. I nodded to Lucas who then pressed the detonator. The bomb that we had attached to the door explodes. The spot where the handle was is gone. Changkyun grabs the door and pulls it open as Jooheon, Lucas, and I along with three other officers held our guns at the ready. 

We entered the premises in a fan like formation. I signaled to the three officers to tell them to take the right side and then I signaled to Changkyun, Jooheon, and Lucas to come with me. I can hear people coming our way. I signaled to them to tell them to stay behind me. We moved alongside the wall and waited at the corner. 

I holstered my weapon and waited until I saw a gun. I grabbed onto the gun with my right hand before proceeding to disarm him and then tackled him to the ground. I hear two gun shots ring off. I quickly pinned the guy to the ground and looked back to see another man on the floor with a gun shot to his leg while Jooheon was putting him in handcuffs.

When I knew that they were fine, I handcuffed the one I had pinned. "Let's go," I said to my unit and began to go down the hallway where these two came from. In the distance, I can hear people shouting and guns going off. At the end of the hallway, there was a door. We walk over to it.

"On three," I said to them before reaching for the door handle. "1...2...3," I said before opening the door while the others had their guns pointed at the opening. On the other side, it was the main part of the HQ. We entered slowly and fanned out to clear the floor. A door in back left opens. Five armed men comes in and started to fire at us. 

"Duck," I shouted as I went to hide behind a sofa. I took a deep breath before returning fire at them. They too also hid behind furniture and fired back when they had the chance. We are at a stalemate of sorts until some other officers came in from the exit on the other side and saved us.

But, it wasn't without causalities. Two of the officers went down. Once the guns stopped, I stood up and went to look at the bodies to see if we got the second in command. They were all lackeys only.
