Ch. 54: The Connect (Part 1)

We finally got the list to two pages only and have began to bring in each of one of them at a time to interrogate plus check out their alibis are solid too. As time went by, there wasn't much results. Each of them were cleared and sent back home. By the time we got to a half a page, we were beginning to lose hope.

At this point, we stopped interrogating and decided to examine the evidence that was left behind by the suspects. The evidence consisted of clothes that had the victims' blood on them, numerous finger prints, bullet casings, and a few other things. Nothing was conclusive enough for us to use to find out who were the suspects. Needless to say, we were all frustrated that we weren't able to get anywhere yet.

"Let's go to the scene of the crime," Kihyun says suddenly.

"But, it has been a long time since it happened. Not to mention, the bank has been cleaned many times since then," Jooheon says.

"There might be something there still. Something that may have been overlooked when the police officers on the case before us were collecting evidence," he counters.

"Hyung, I'm sure that they did their jobs," Jooheon answers.

"How can you guarantee that," Kihyun asks with an eyebrow raised.

"I- Well- I- You see-," Jooheon stammers before looking at me with puppy dog eyes. "Hyung, he is being mean to me," he pouts slightly.

I simply shook my head and said, "It is impossible to win an argument against someone in the legal profession."

Jooheon frowns and  then turns to Changkyun. "Kyunnie, they're being mean to me," he whines to the younger male.

Changkyun stares at him for a few seconds before saying, "Good for you."

"Changkyunnnnn," Jooheon groans indigently.

"Hey, it's not my fault that you didn't have any reasons or evidence to back up your claim," Changkyun retorted.

"But, like, you are my best friend. You are supposed to back me up," Jooheon huffs and crosses his arms across his chest. Changkyun merely shrugs in response which then caused them to argue like kids. Kihyun and I looked at each other and chuckled at the scene unfolding in front of us.
