They Know

Tony's POV

Tony: We need to save her.

Nat: We know Tony. We just needed to make it out alive at that point so we could properly plan the attack.

Bucky: We need to work quick. They are obviously linked with Hydra. You know what they did to me. They will likely do the same to her.

Nat: I know. Tony, I gave her one of your inner ear coms while the fight was happening. We should be able to hear everything going on.

Nat turns on the monitor and computer and logs into the STARK database. She pulls up the coms and selects Y/N's. We hear her talking to Rico.

Y/N: What are you gonna do to me?

Rico: Remember how we brainwashed James and used him as a highly trained assassin?

Y/N: Yes.

Rico: We're gonna do the exact same thing. We'll brainwash you so you use your powers for us. Starting now.

We can hear a faint squeak of a rolling cart coming beside Y/N, and metallic items being put on her. Then we hear Rico laugh darkly.

Rico: Put this mouth guard in. This is gonna hurt, and we don't want to break those pearly whites, do we?

We can hear them shoving a mouth guard into her mouth. They flip a switch and then I hear the one thing I've never wanted to hear in my life. Y/N screaming bloody murder. After what feels like hours, the screaming stops. All we can hear is her exhausted breathing. Thats until we hear someone new.

Unknown: Im Doctor Dorgan. I'll be taking care of you. Do you know who this is?

We can hear a piece of paper being shuffled

Y/N: Thats Tony Stark.

Dorgan: Correct. Now if you answer the questions correctly, we'll move on to the next question. If you answer incorrectly, we shock again. Got it?

Y/N: Y-yes.

Dorgan: So this is Tony Stark?

Y/N: Yes.

Dorgan: Do you know this Tony Stark?

Y/N: Yes.

Dorgan: Are you in a relationship with Tony Stark?

My heart drops at the question.

Y/N: No.

Dorgan: My, my. Lying already, Y/N? Do you recongnize these photos?

Y/N stays eerily quiet.

Dorgan: These look like photos of you in the Bahamas kissing and making love to Mr. Tony Stark.

My eyes go wide. How did they find us there?! Everyone looks at me.

Tony: Yes. We're together. I dont want to talk about it.

Everyone nods and turns their attention back to the speaker playing what com hears.

Dorgan: I guess its time for another zap.

They put the mouth guard back in and start shocking her, making her scream again.

You scream as they shock you for the second time. You hope the com piece is still working. You need them to know you arent giving any information up. The shocking subsides and Dorgan pulls out more papers.

Dorgan: Is this Natasha Romanoff and Bruce Banner?

Y/N: Y-yes.

Dorgan: Are they in a relationship?

Y/N: Not that I know of.

Dorgan: So you dont know if they are or not?

Y/N: Correct.

You choose your words carefully so they cant use anything against you or the group.

Dorgan: Is this James Buchanan Barnes?

Y/N: Yes.

Dorgan: Do you know where he is?

Y/N: No sir. When I asked they didnt tell me.

Dorgan: Hmm... Okay. So back to Tony... You are in a relationship with him?

Y/N: ... Yeah

Dorgan: Okay. Do you love him?

Y/N: Very much.

You let a single tear slide down your face when you say those words. You just hope they dont send you after him after theyve done the brainwashing.

Dorgan: It is time for the washing. We will do a series of quick shocks and then give you information. Got it?

You nod.

Dorgan: I need your verbal agreement.

Y/N: Yes. I understand.

You hear a static noise in your com piece as they shock you four times.

Tony: Y/N?

You dont say anything.

Dorgan: Tony Stark is a threat

They shock you again.

Dorgan: Natasha Romanoff is a threat.

And again.

Dorgan: Steve Rogers is a threat.

You can feel your mind bend at his will. Your previous beliefs along with your independent will being shoved in the back of your mind. The faint whisper of Tony in your ear is the only thing keeping you sane. You hear one last thing from Tony as your rightful mind fades.

Tony: Y/N. I love you. Im gonna save you.

It was at that point you realize youve been having these torturous shocks for days. You could see everything happening but couldnt feel or control it. Your body worked on its own. Dorgan gives you a command and your robot like body does what its told. The next thing you hear is from Rico. And it terrifies you.

Rico: Your target is Tony Stark.

And at that, your body stands up, grabs a gun, and walks out the door that the guards opened for you.
