I heard the dagger hit something, but didn't see it. Black spots danced across my eyes as I tried to find the door.

It opened before I got the chance.

"Thank God you're still alive!" A familiar voice called. "Oh my God, he actually stabbed you! Can you even see me? It's Chase. I hope you understand I'm going to carry you to safety. It might hurt." He said.

I yipped as Chase picked me up and carried me how people do at weddings, when the man carries the woman down the aisle. I pressed my head against his chest to stop the pounding in it.

"Thank you." I whispered to him. "I felt like, like I owed you, for something, and I couldn't handle watching you die. I just couldn't do it. I thought I was, broken, Rose, but seeing you, I knew I wasn't." He said as he carried me out a door.

"I need...to...go to...Camp Magic... Chase." I said between painful breaths. "I know. I've been communicating with some people inside the camp, and I told them I'd get you out for them. They will probably kill me though, because I told them I'd bring you back uninjured."

I laughed shakily. "I'm not injured." I said to his shirt. He smelled good, not like, as good as Jackson, but like cologne, and boy, and soap.

Chase carried me for a while, but at one point, I slipped slightly and pain filled every part of me. I cried out, but it sounded more like an animal cry. Spots danced across my vision again, and I felt dizzy and sick.

"I'm sorry, Rose! We're almost there, hold on! I know it hurts." He said, sounding panicked, He picked up his pace and we entered the woods. "It hurts...when...you...run." I breathed.

Chase slowed.

We entered Camp Magic. We were immediately surrounded by people. Gasps and screams filled the air as someone took me from Chase and someone else grabbed Chase and dragged him away as he yelled and squirmed.

I heard voices, but couldn't make out what they were saying. After a couple more minutes of being carried, I was laid down on a hospital bed. "Get Alexandria!" Someone yelled. "Get Mr. Blackwood, Jake!" A girl yelled.

"Oh, Rose. Oh no. Oh no." A familiar voice said. "Rainy." I gasped. "Everyone get out! I need space!" A girl in white yelled, nearing me. Alexandria. "Wait, but-" Rainy started. "Sorry, Rainy. It's the rule. You can see her tomorrow. Okay?"Rainy was pushed out.

"Oh, you stupid girl! You're hurt really bad." Alex said. I just mumble nonsense in response. "Alright, I'm going to put you to sleep, and work on you overnight. Don't freak, I'm just going to give you a vaccine in your arm."

I nodded and Alex stock the needle in my arm. It pinched for a minute, but everything went dark quickly, and in a minute, I was asleep.

I woke up to a dull ache everywhere. I moaned as I tried to sit up, but a hand pushed me back. I laid on the pillows and waited for my blurred vision to clear. "How do you feel?" Alex asked me.

"Wonderful." I said sarcastically. Alex smiled. "I stayed up for quite a while trying to heal you. Rainy yelled at me for putting you to sleep because she was worried you wouldn't wake up."

I smirked. "I have... interesting friends." Alex walked over and felt my forehead. She leaned over me and checked my stomach, then my arm.

"You're healing well, that's a good sign. I had to give you a few stitches in your stomach, but they're a special dissolvable kind, so when you're fully healed, they just kind of... melt." She said.

I looked down at my stomach. It had black stitches peaking out from under a bandage. I touched them and pain shot through my hand and my stomach. "I forgot to mention this, sorry, your hand is a little burnt. You have a few blisters, but I can heal them. It got to late last night. And uh, don't touch your stitches."

I laughed harshly. "Give me your hand, and I can fix it now." Alex said. I winced as I moved, but somehow I set my hand in Alex's." She took her wand from her pocket and wrote something on my palm. My palm glowed and a warmth spread over it.

I sighed in relief as the blisters disappeared. "Thank you." I said, examining my hand. It looked as good as new. "Why can't you just do that with my arm and my stomach?" I asked. Alex smiled.

"Everyone asks that, you know. You should take a Health Magic Class sometime. That spell was for minor burns only. Healing cream can heal small cuts and bruises quickly, and larger cuts over time. Those stitches on your stomach will heal you quicker than the healing cream can, because that cut's so deep." Alex explained.

I nodded. "So, is there healing cream on my arm or...?" Alex shook her head. "No. While you were asleep I injected that arm with a really strong healing medication that works on deeper cuts. It's dangerous though, because it can make you dizzy and faint, so I gave it to you while you were asleep."

I nodded and touched the bandage wrapped around my arm. It only stung a little. "How long until I'm fully healed everywhere?" I asked. "About a week. But by tomorrow your stomach should be healed enough for you to walk. Hopefully." She said, uncertain.

Then a thought shot through my mind like lightning. "Is Jackson okay?" I asked rapidly. Alex frowned and looked away. "What? What happened?" "Rose, Jackson's in a coma, and we're not sure he's going to wake up."
