it's the end of the world

We all have dreams. Dreams that take up our every thought. Something you'd regret if you never did. Never achieved. Cassie has two. One, to be a bitching badass surgeon. Two, to fall in love. It's stupid. It sounds stupid to her, but in the wake of falling in love with someone she hates, well not much anymore, but, well, it's Alex Karev. Trauma, though, trauma is something that gets her mind off of the fact that she's failing at life.

It's also like Cassie can just tell Alex. As they wait for an ambulance to arrive, he is flirting with Izzie. She's also not going to be a complete asshole to her friend and go out with her ex-boyfriend, who also cheated on her. So, she can't tell Alex because Alex is still hung up on Izzie, Cassie would feel like a terrible friend to Izzie and well, those are good enough reason not to. Except, it kills Cassie that someone she is in love with someone she now calls one of her closest friends

Though one thing feels better, Izzie turning down any proposals for her and Alex to hang out because they are just about the funniest thing. Cristina and George agree with her. Izzie also keeps talking about keeping her legs closed and panties on which makes George and Cassie double over in laughter.

"Can we get back to the point?" Cristina asked the two.

"You had a point?" George questioned earning a glare from Cristina.

"Yeah," She said turning her head towards George, "which surgeon are we gonna have to suck up to today?" Now that Sydney was gone (thank God for that one), and the had seemed to run off the other boring one, they had no resident in charge of them, well that they had knowledge of.

"That would be me." A voice from behind startled the group.

"Dr. Bailey." Cristina faked cheered to try not to piss the still pregnant woman off.

The woman looked pissed, to say the least, "I've been gone two weeks--two weeks--and you ran off two residents? I've got people phoning me at home, screaming, telling me my interns are Rosemary's babies. Nobody wants you." Cassie looked towards the woman with a guilty look before turning and looking at Cristina because it was mostly--if not all--Cristina's fault. "Do you think I have the time for this? I am pregnant! I'm supposed to be on bed rest. I'm supposed to be growing a human being. I'm supposed to be calm. Do I look calm to you?" She continued to rant, "Did I raise you fools to be pariahs?"

George then pushed through Izzie and Meredith walking towards their resident standing in front of her before giving the woman a hug, "You're back." Bailey just looked like she was about to punch the boy.

"I'm not back." She told him.

"You're not?" He questioned.

"Get off me." She demanded. The sirens wailed in the background as Bailey then ordered the interns around, "Yang, Karev, Grey, Scott, stay here and wait for the incoming case. O'Malley, page Addison Shepherd. Stevens, get a wheelchair."
