Cassie strolled down the hall. She was going to watch Burke's heart surgery that Meredith was scrubbing in own. Though she assumed she probably was too late, better late than never. But when she ran into Alex Karev on the way there, she though never was looking better.

"Ah, if it isn't the little peds patient?" He said catching up to her. He wore his smug look on his face that he always does. She wanted to punch it right off.

"You did not just call me a peds patient." She said rolling her eyes. She quickened her pace hoping to get away before he said something else.

"Well, if the shoe fits." He told her. God, what was with this guy and boundaries.

"I wanna poke you in the eye with a shoe." She raced up the stairs to the gallery.

"Come on, you know you love me." He said from behind her. She quickly turned around, stopping him. She stared him in the eye. "What is it, princess?" She turned around and continued walking up the stairs. When she reached the gallery she looked down below and realized she had missed it. What she hadn't missed was Alex pretty much inviting himself to the party. Though Cristina, George, and Izzie denied it, she was about to accept him there.

"I have a problem," George tells Cassie.

She continued to note on the charts. "What is it? STD? Drugs? Did you get a girl pregnant?" She then stared at him. He was silent. "No, really?"

"No, no. You don't think I'm gay?" He asked. He just stared her down. He almost sounded like he was gonna cry.

"Well, are you?" She questioned.

"No, no, no." He kept repeating. "Um, um, uh." He rushed off.

Also, everyone thought George was gay, but that's not important. George, gay? No. Maybe. No. No way. She wouldn't doubt it if it were true. Now if it were let's say, Alex, yeah no way that would be true. I mean only because he's the type of guy that would sleep with anything with boobs on it. Also because he stares at hers a lot too. She actually didn't mind. Though she wouldn't tell that to him.

Her day is about to get a lot worse. Not only is she working on a patient who claims to have chronic pain, just to look for drugs she had to do it with Alex Karev. At least she had Derek Shepherd to keep him from full out harassing her.

Both examined the patient at the same time. Every answer, which seems to be directed to Karev, was a lie. Just by looking at his arm you could tell this guy had a problem, an addiction.

They then exited his room as Karev began to discuss the patient obvious drug problem. "Exaggerated and overly specific description of his pain. A self-prescription. 'Pow! Pow! Pow!'" Imitating the guy's samurai description of the pain. "He's a Dilaudid junkie."
