"It's okay princess, it'll all be okay." Asim promised the crying little girl but knew his words fell on deaf ears. No words would make this better
"I love her so much." His daughter cried out and seeing those (eye color) eyes, her eyes, filled with and over spilling tears cut him to the quick.
She was only nine years old. Far too young to lose something so precious. Something that could never be replaced.
Some would, some would search for a new one. To ease their child's heartache when none could take the spot in their heart.
It hit Asim to, but he hid it for her sake. "I know it hurts honey. I know." He assured and she looked at him with those glassy eyes.
"It won't get better papa!" She demanded and though he wished he could deny it he knew he couldn't so nodded.
"You will always miss her, but one day you will look at her memory, you'll think of how she'd react as you grow." He spoke through the pain somehow his little girl's tears hitting him harder then the loss had.
He thought he had gone through all the pain this life had created.
"I know princess." He whispered hugging her close, holding her to his chest so she wouldn't see him cry. How could life be so cruel? Forget him but to his little Anastasia? To hurt his baby girl went too far.
But there was no one to blame. A freak accident. One that not even our mechanical bodies could cure.
It would have been Anastasia if she hadn't lept in front of her, taking the blow from the animal instead of my little girl. And died from it, giving her life for our daughter.
The one thing I had now keeping me from ending it all was the little one in my arms. Half her and half me.
I had her still and would be the best papa ever. My Name's lost wouldn't be in vain. She was so much like her mother, in personality, while she looked mostly like me having only her mother's lovely eyes.
At least I keep them in my life.
