Trè pov

The past couple of weeks have been kinda weird. Aside from all the shit going on with Tima and Brinah. I have some shit going on as well.

Like lately, I haven't been sleeping much. I barely remember going to sleep when I wake up the next day. And nothing feels real. Like I don't know. I can't really explain it. Maybe I need to leave the dark alone.

I couldn't worry about that shit right now tho. I had to give all my focus to Tima and her situation. I know she has a lot on her plate right now. And I wanna be there to help her clear her mind.

"Babe?"

"Yeaaa," she yelled from the bathroom.

"You almost done? I know everybody's waiting on us."

"Here I come now. Just gotta grab my shoes and charger," she walked out and I made sure everything was secured.

We walked to the elevator and rode it down. She rambled on and on about random shit and I listened to every word or hers. It's like when she talks she grabs my attention every time. No matter what it's about.

When we arrived downstairs, low and behold her mom, Meechy, and Brinah were all waiting on us.

"Gosh you take so long to get ready," Brinah said.

"I'm surprised you're down here before me," Tima said. Which was true, they both take 5 years to get ready.

We made sure everybody had everything, then we headed out. Her mom thought it'd be a good idea for us all to go out and enjoy the weather. So, I'm guessing we're going to a park on something.

"Mama where are u taking us?"

"To a cookout," she said, smiling. "It's gonna be so much fun. All of your cousins have been dying to see y'all. And Brinah your mama is gonna be there."

"Mama, you told everybody I was back?"

"Yea. What? Was I not supposed to?"

"I'm not saying that. It's just-.."

"We didn't expect to see everyone on our trip back," Brinah said, cutting Tima off.

"Well I'm sorry I should've asked first."

"It's fine. I haven't seen a lot of people in a while. Hopefully this goes well."

When we arrived, there were people everywhere. It was like three families into one. I know people have big families but, this was ridiculous. Every time we turned around she was saying hey and introducing me and Meechy.
