Hey there, readers (if I have, lol)! It's another ordinary day at school, nothing much, still pressured for the latter batch of our final exams. Hope you like this chapter! Writing this little novel keeps me sane and keeps me from falling into the mundane oblivion of life and reality, heheh.

Chapter 11. What Does This Mean?

David was fiddling with his phone in his bedroom when he heard the annoying vacuum cleaner coming from outside. He got up, opened the door, and saw Marilyn the cleaner vacuuming the carpet in the hallway. He gave her a fiery look.

"I'm sorry," Marilyn said. "If it disturbs you, then I'm just gonna sweep the carpet with a broom." She was about to plug out the vacuum when David stopped her.

"No, actually, continue," he said, feeling stupid. How can she clean the carpet thoroughly if she didn't use a vacuum? David felt illogical sometimes, and realized that his emotions always gets the best of him.

"Okay...?" Marilyn looked at him with confused eyes.

David was about to close the door completely when he opened it again. He suddenly remembered yesterday when Jarwin called him supot. He wanted to know what it meant.

"Hey, what does supot mean?"

Marilyn's eyes looked bewildered, then she blushed and looked at the floor. She nonetheless explained it to the Chinese boy. "It's an insult hurled at people who aren't circumcised yet. It means a pack or cover or something, because of the... the... the skin covering the head."

Once these words reached David's ears, he suddenly blushed and closed the door too violently. He punched his bed. How dare those shitheads insult me?! What if I'm supot? Why does it have to be a big deal here in this country? Heck, in China, everyone's not cut there! Filipino culture is weird!

He wanted to seek those three and beat the hell out of them.

When his phone rang, he picked it up from the bedside and saw Xiaoge videocalling. He answered it. "Hey."

"Hey, why do you look so sad?" Xiaoge pouted her strawberry lips. "Someone bullied you, ah? Well, just so they wait before I get there, I'm gonna smash their heads!"

David suddenly perked up and smiled. He can't help feeling happy seeing cute Xiaoge like this, and hearing her cute, small voice. "I missed you."

Xiaoge kissed the screen. "I missed you too. Don't worry, we'll be together soon!" She looked around her room and clutched on something which she showed to David. "Hey, look at this bag! It's limited bullskin Louis Vuitton, dad gave it to me as going-away present! Isn't it so nice?" She giggled while clutching the bag like an infant.

David rolled his eyes, annoyed. When will she stop being so materialistic? It was one of Xiaoge's traits which he absolutely loathed.

They talked for a long, long time until the wee hours of the morning, during which David felt sleepy and said goodbye to his girl in Shanghai. He immediately felt asleep.

When David opened his eyes, he was at the beach and was holding another person's hand. When he looked to whom that hand belonged, he was delighted to know it was Eric's.

Eric was unlike his usual, cold self today. He was smiling at him warmly, his face seemed like it's emanating sunlight to warm David's body. He held Eric Ray Mendoza's face and caressed it.

David wanted nothing more than to kiss Eric's succulent lips.

Why do I feel like this towards him? I don't like men but this... This is just too good. David's thoughts were going wild.

David leaned in towards Eric's face, but just as their lips were about to meet, terrifying shouts made their heads turn around.

Xiaoge and Olivia the weird girl were seething with anger. They ran like furious panthers and pounced on Eric and David. The two girls then seemed to have grown very long claws and were about to slash the two boys dead.

Immediately, Xiaoge's claws ripped at David's throat.

David woke up sweaty. He was breathing heavily. He sighed and thanked the heavens that it was only a dream. His eyes grazed his room—everything was dark. The digital clock said it's 03:36.

David remembered he dreamt of Eric, but as soon as he tried remembering the images that he saw, Eric's face seemed to have faded into the recesses of his mind.

He laid back down on the bed, only to realize that his underwear was sticky.
