Anyway, hope you had a good day! And thanks again to the readers. ( ͡~ ͜ʖ ͡°)

Chapter 14: Chinese Dragons

The next day, David felt like his fragile friendship with Jarwin, Jaguar, and Loco, was about to topple down like a house of cards. Yesterday afternoon, David followed Eric and Olivia. But then he was also followed by those three assholes.

And now, in the classroom, in the middle of Creative Nonfiction class, David noticed that from where those three were seated, they were serving him mocking looks. They were clearly onto something, and David not knowing about what they could be thinking, made him restless.

From his seat, Jarwin was raising both his eyebrows at David, and gesturing with his two index fingers and rubbing them together. Jaguar had this mocking look, playing with his tongue against his cheek, and Loco looked like a foolish hyena that's thirsty for trouble.

What the hell happened to these three?! It's like they snorted an old pair of wet socks. David furrowed his brows and looked at his notebook full of doodles and Chinese characters.

Meanwhile in his seat, Eric felt inspired like never before. For the first time in years he had fun last night when Olivia invited him to her house. They stayed in the attic playing retro games which Eric didn't have an opportunity to play when he was a kid. They played Mario, Contra, Doki Doki, and Circus Charlie. They definitely had fun doing it, and never was there a dull moment with Olivia because she seemed to be a really cool gal who talked about random stuff that's truly interesting, like murder stories on TV, aliens, and all those creepy stuff.

But now Eric felt kinda sad because Olivia didn't attend much of the classes since morning. He found out that Olivia's a member of the Book Club, and she told him last night she's attending some meetings today.

Eric suddenly noticed that the three assholes in front of him had their bodies turned around to face him, as if fearless that their teacher would chastise them.

They had this mocking expression on their faces, and Eric noticed, that their eyes seemed to shift back and forth between him and the person behind him-David Zhou.

Curious, Eric turned around and saw that David seemed to be distressed, avoiding the sticky gazes of those three hyenas and just kept on writing endlessly on his notebook.

What's wrong with these four? Eric thought. I thought they're good friends? From the looks of it, it seemed like David was being bullied by these three.

At lunch break, Eric sat at the usual table at the cafeteria with Charlie. As usual, Charlie was eating his usual rice and sausage.

Fortunately for Eric, he's now able to buy a full meal at the cafeteria thanks to the increased allowance that his mother gives him weekly. It's a good thing that his mother Marilyn has been employed by that rich Chinese businessman as a cleaner.

"What happened last night?" Charlie asked, cheeks stuffed with food.

Eric smiled. "Nothing much."
