Note: Good day, guys! Here's another chapter for Water and Fire.

Don't forget to comment your thoughts, feedback, just things that might improve the writing and the plot; and don't be shy to message me about just anything. Thank you so much!

Writing this really means a lot to me. I've been down in the dumps these past couple of weeks. Let's say I've been experiencing some shitty existential and identity crisis these past few weeks, add to that the fact that my confidence has never been this low since forever. Oh well, might as well pour my emotions and efforts into something, instead of brooding and sulking and thinking about dark thoughts.

Again, thank y'all!

Chapter 22: I Heard You Like Chocolates

"Are you really sure there's nothing going on between you two, huh?"

Olivia's eyes were suspicious, squinting, and reflecting off the pink and orange lights from the sky above. It gave her eyes a sort of eerie vibe.

"Heck, Olivia, we're just good friends!" Eric couldn't take these insinuating questions pouring out from Olivia's mouth.

Olivia eyed him like he was a criminal. You better be just good friends! Seeing you eat those chocolates, I can't help thinking that you two are lovers.

They were walking together as usual, after the last bell had rung. And as usual, Charlie left the school first.

Olivia hugged the thick novel that she has been reading these past few weeks.

Eric saw the conspicuous cover with the two boys facing each other.

"Damn, Olivia, you should stop reading these kinds of stuff, it makes your imagination go wild."

Olivia stared at him for a few good seconds, then she glanced left and right, stopped walking, and pulled Eric into a hidden gap in the hallway wall.

"Charlie's mine, you got that?" She hissed.

Her eyes were cat-like, glowing eerily and radiating a crazily uncontrollable power.

Her breath was warm on Eric's face, and her claws were grabbing his white uniform, twisting it in knots.

"Okay, okay!" Eric spat. "Damn, chill out!"

This girl's so crazily in love!

Finally, Olivia breathed deeply and freed her prey into the hallway. Walking again, Olivia seemed to have regained her sanity.

"I'm just making sure. Who knows? Maybe you're secretly in love with each other."

Eric was getting impatient. "Do you really think Charlie and I are that kind of thing, ha?"

"It's best to be sure" Olivia responded nonchalantly.

When they reached the ground floor, she stopped in the entrance way and faced Eric. With a blank face, she rummaged in her little leather backpack.

When she found what she was searching, she handed it to Eric.

"You know the drill," she said casually, eyes drowsy.

Eric looked at the thing shoved in his hands. It was a gift wrapped in pink with a red ribbon. Judging from its shape it looked like a book of some sort.

Eric sighed, but knew better than to argue. "Okay, the same plan."

Eric was about to leave but Olivia pulled her closer. Eric couldn't imagine why this petite girl was so strong, with a firm, crab-like grip.
