Note: Good day! I'm not gonna say anything much, but I just wanna say how truly shocked I am, when my high school friend confessed her feelings for me. She said she had been hiding her feelings for so long. I dunno what to do though, I can't reconcile my "hetero" life and my BL hoe life lmao.
Anyway, this isn't about me, this is about Eric and David. And well, Olivia and Charlie as well on the sides, so without further ado, happy reading, folks!

Chapter 50: Ray of Holy Light

When semestral break finally ended, Eric felt so much dread in his heart and mind. He was suddenly filled with the desire to disappear in the face of the earth just so he wouldn't have to meet David. But he knew that it would be impossible to not see David's face in the school. Most especially because he was his seatmate!

Walking to their classroom, Eric was not oblivious to the gazes from his fans who seemed to blush at his mere presence. Some were calling out to him but he ignored them all.

A group of bespectacled girls giggled when he passed by, whispering something at each other's ears. Certainly, those girls were readers of the Eric x David smut fan fiction circulating on the web, as evidenced by the dark circles around their eyes, the pimples on their faces, and their already poor vision.

When Eric arrived at the classroom, David was already there in his seat, tapping his fingers casually and chewing a gum. Seeing him like that with such nonchalant expression reminded Eric of a hooligan who's undergoing puberty, and who would beat you up for practically no reason.

Eric averted his eyes away from that guy, but he knew for sure that David's eyes were on him, mocking him, insulting him, wanting to beat him up again.

Slowly and carefully, Eric settled on his chair. He wasn't sure, but he heard David grunt very quietly.

Eric avoided looking at him. It was like David was air in his vision. Amidst the fear in his heart, Eric also felt irritation. Until today, he never had the strong urge to punch David on his manly, pretty face.

What the hell was going on between them? Olivia couldn't help thinking this. From her seat, she witnessed how those two beautiful guys avoided each other's gazes.

It was like they wanted each other dead or something, she mused.

Is this sexual tension between them? Probably not, because they really looked like once they meet each other's gazes, World War Three would surely commence.

Olivia felt a little sad seeing those two, especially at a time like this when the events in that smut fiction were becoming more and more heated.

Her train of thoughts came to a halt when Charlie spoke beside him.

"What are you thinking, love?"

"Nothing," she thought.

Charlie observed his girl for several seconds. Her batting eyelashes, the beads of sweat stuck on her forehead, and her overall, anxious and nervous posture—all of this seemed like there's something going on in her mind.

And why wouldn't he think that way? These past few weeks, Olivia had been doing nothing but read that book of hers with the boys facing each other on the cover. Or, when her nose wasn't focused on that book, she's reading something on the internet. Or, when she's not reading, she's typing furiously on her laptop.

Worse, whenever he tried to glance at what his girlfriend was doing on her laptop, she would quickly close it like the contents of it were forbidden to be seen by anyone. God, it's not gay porn, is it?!
