~Chandelier's pov
Twas weekend, gladly there was no school today. So I was home with my family. My mom was doing the laundry, Alex was watering the garden. My Dad was working in the farm. Though it doesn't have to be weekend before my Dad would work on the farm. He's always working in the farm everyday. He's so devoted to his farm.
I was helping my Dad in the farm. The last thing I thought I'd ever do! We worked for hours, feeding the chickens, goats, cattle, and well, all the farm animals. I always hated the smell of animal droppings on my body.
Alex finished watering the garden early, so he came to the barnyard where my Dad and I were working. He sat on a rock face down, which made me worry.
"You already buddy?" Dad asked Alex.
"I'm alright, just needed to sit a while " Alex responded, with a shrug.
I glared at Alex. "You don't like being in the barnyard, not to talk about sitting here. Something is up with you, that right?"
"Ya right. Actually I wanted to talk to you about something" Alex said looking up at me.
My Dad scorned at Alex. "You can talk to me buddy, anything bothering you. You know? Bro to bro."
Alex blew out a breath. "Dad, it's a teenage thing."
"I can talk teenage stuffs. I was once a teenager." Dad protested.
"Dad, that's just groose." I grimaced.
"Fine, I'll leave you two to it." He muttered, throwing his hands in the air in defeat. He picked up the shovel and went out of the barnyard.
I went and sat beside Alex, feeling honored that my baby brother who is a pain in the ass wants to talk to me about teenage stuffs. I really do hope I can help.
"What's up buddy?" I said, I mentally face-palm myself for sounding like my Dad. Alex must have felt the same way too as he slightly shifted his head backwards to look at me.
"Are you Dad now?" he furrowed his eyebrows. I laughed and slightly shoved him with my shoulder.
"I asked my subconscious the same thing" I said, beaming at him. "So, what was it you wanted to talk about?"
Alex sighed, he stroke his nose and sniffed before speaking up. "I like Vicky!" Alex said straight up.
I blinked twice and paused, waiting for him to continue. But he said nothing further. He just stared at me.
That's it? That's the problem?
Ugh!I let out a small smile to my little brother, but he frowned at it. I understood his position, what he said wasn't funny, I shouldn't have smiled.
I didn't really know how to be a 'big sister' in talks about dating and relationships. I'm not even great at it but myself. Like fuck I haven't been in one myself.
Poor Alex is having a crush on someone the second time. The first time was with Beatrice, back in Washington. He never told her how he felt, he was too shy or was it timid now? But now, he's having another crush and he's asking for my advice.
