*West-End High School*
~Chandelier's POV
I decided to watch the soccer match today because Selene wanted me to. Pete was in the soccer team and she wanted to cheer her brother up. Our School team was up against Macaulay High School. As usual there were lots of students, teachers, parents and all seated at the game arena to watch the match.
I walked down the hallways to find Selene. It was taking her forever to buy mere snacks at the canteen. I felt a lot of glares and whispering among students as I walked pass them in the hallways, but I just ignored them and went on my business.
Gossips ain't no new thing in this School.
I met Selene in the hallway, struggling with a handful of snack bags as she was coming towards my direction. I shook my head at her, letting out a low chuckle. I offered her a hand which she gladly accepted. "Thanks." She giggled, throwing all the bags into my arms.
I narrowed my eyes at her. "I never said you should leave it all to me. I was only intending to help with some of the bags." I nagged.
"Just be a good friend and help me with all of 'em Chandie." She beamed, patting my back. I groaned and carried the bags anyways. We headed back to the game arena.
Selene was obviously so hungry as she took some chips and started eating it while we were walking. I shook my head at her, laughing.
"Girls?" a familiar voice called out behind us, causing us to halt and turn around.
"Claire!" I blurted out.
"I was heading to the game arena. From the looks of it so are you two."
"Ya, right." I said abruptly, remembering my mom had instructed me to stay away from Claire. I just shrugged it off, I mean Claire hasn't done anything wrong to me yet, has she?
"Mind if I have a snack? I'm hungry" Claire whined.
"Of course." Selene said and gave Claire a sealed potato chip."
"You might wanna make it two chips. She's quite an eater, this one." I told Selene.
We all burst into laughter, Selene gave Claire another seal potato chips anyways, and we all headed to the game arena.
"So, what is it about the rumors, you and Greg?" Claire raised an eyebrow at me. We all stopped once again.
"What? Me and Greg? Nothing." I ricocheted.
"That's the latest gossip in school you know?" Claire persisted.
"They're talking lies." Selene intervened. "Greg only gave Chandelier a ride to the game yesterday when my car broke down."
"Oh, I see." Claire let out a smirky smile. "It appears I'm trying to warn you to stay away from Cat but you're choosing to meddle with her boyfriend."
"What are you talking about, I don't have anything with Greg or Catherine." I snorted.
"People talk you know? And Cat won't like what they're saying." Claire warned.
