~Chandelier's POV
"Hey Claire, where you going?" I asked Claire as I bumped into her in the hallway
"I'm going to the bathroom, gotta do some girl business" Claire whined
"Oh, are you okay? Do you want me come with you?" I asked concerned
"Into the bathroom?" Claire retorted
"What? Ugh no, not into the bathroom. I meant if you'd need me to walk with you" I said with a disgust face
"I'm just kidding. Thanks but no thanks, I'll be fine. See you at the cafeteria" Claire said and ran off. I chuckled as I watched her run down the hallway. She must be really pressed.
"Who you waiting for?" I jumped when I heard someone say behind me. I turned around and my eyes met with a pair of enthusiastic eyes, smiling at me. Pete definitely caught me off guard. I tried to compose myself immediately.
"Hey. I was uh, talking to Claire just now"
"Oh, I see. Well, are you going to the cafeteria? We could go together" Pete offered
"I uh, will just wait for Clai..." I was interrupted
"Chandelier please, I've been saying I'm sorry for three weeks now. Can you forgive me already?" Pete said overwhelmed
"I'm not mad anymore. I just don't want you to give me that attitude you gave me before. I equally care about Selene" I stated
"I promise it won't happen again, and I don't doubt that you care about my sister" Pete muttered
"Okay. But Claire has to sit with us for lunch otherwise I'm not sitting at your table" I pouted.
"Fine, Claire sits with us" Pete concurred
Pete and I walked to the cafeteria, I noticed Selene waving at us the moment we stepped into the cafeteria. I waved back at her. We went to the vendor store, I ordered chicken salad and lemonade. I really needed something light. Pete ordered macaroni and fish ketchup, and a bottle of Coca cola. We took our lunch trays and went to sit with Selene and Pete's friends.
"Hey guys" I croaked
"Hey you" Pete's friends chorused
"Hey Chandie, come on and sit" Selene offered me a seat beside her
"Been a while you sat with us" Stephan said
I said nothing, I simply smiled at him. I settled beside Selene, placing my lunch tray on the table. I started eating, so did everyone else except Selene who kept going on and on about how she dedicated all her time to her last science project but got a B.
Just then I noticed Claire going to the Vendor Store, She was ordering her lunch. I immediately texted her
Chandelier: 12:20pm: Hey barbie, I'm sitting with Selene and the other guys, come sit with us. It's okay, everyone is waiting for you.
