~Mr Grayson's POV
I sat impatiently on the couch, waiting for my wife. I have no idea where she went and she took Chandelier along with her. I had booked an appointment with my lawyer, my wife and I are supposed to see him today regarding the divorce papers I filled. I looked at my watch, the time was 12:45pm.
"Hey Alex!" I called on the top of my voice. Alex came out of his room, he came downstairs. "Where's your mom and sister at?"
"I don't know" Alex shrugged, "mom only said they were going to see an old friend"
"Old friend indeed, that's weird" I mumbled.
"Why don't you call her, and just talk..." Alex was interrupted
The door flung open, causing Alex and I to jump. My wife and daughter ran into the house, they looked terrified.
"Victoria?" I said puzzled
"Honey, I'm sorry, I didn't mean to. I only wanted you to know the truth, I didn't mean to..." My wife blabbed.
"You didn't mean to what?" I questioned curiously
"Mom, I told you to call the cops already. It's the best thing to do right now" Chandelier cried
"The cops? What did you do Victoria?!" I snarled
"Honey, I, I, I went to Rhonda's. I knew she said that video to you, I just wanted her to tell you the truth. I wanted her to tell you that I quit stripping because I knew it wasn't the life I wanted, I hated the job so I got out. But she, she refused. She refused to tell you the truth, she was going to walk out on me so I pulled her hair. We got into a fight, and, and she pulled out a gun, I panicked, and, and I tried to take the gun away from her. We were still dragging the gun when she wanted to pull the trigger on me, but I pushed the gun away, and that's when I shot her."
"Oh my goodness, why did you do that?!" I quarreled.
"It was an accident, it all happened so fast" my wife cried.
"Why did you even go to see her? We should call the cops" I said
"We can't" Alex blurted
"Why not?" I snapped at Alex
"They'll charge mom for murder" Alex croaked
"We'll tell them twas an accident, self defense" I shrugged
"It doesn't work that way. Rhonda didn't come to mom, it was mom who went to her. They'll find mom guilty of trespassing and pulling the trigger" Alex whined
I let out a breath of frustration, I had no idea what to do. We all stood, staring at each other, clueless of what to do.
Ding Dung!
The front bell rang. We all froze like petrified cats when the doorbell rang. "Are the cops here?" my wife whimpered
"I don't know Victoria, I don't know. I'll just get the door. Stay right here" I instructed my family.
