36: Blackout

A day had passed but neither of us contacted each other.

Hay, ang lakas ng loob ko dati na sabihin sa kanya yun pero ako naman tong nahihirapan. I really want to talk to him right now and just say sorry but at the time, gusto ko rin naman na makita niya ang ibig kong sabihin.

He's also stubborn. Medyo ma-pride rin siya minsan at ang mahirap sa lahat... nahihirapan siyang patawarin ang ibang tao lalo na ang sarili niya.

"Cee, tapos ka na sa mga requirements mo? Deadline na bukas di ba?" tanong ni Nalie na katatapos lang ipasa ang isang powerpoint sa drive namin.

"Haa~hindi pa nga eh. Hanggang 12 midnight pa naman di ba? Magtatrabaho nalang ako mamaya sa bahay. Kaya ko naman sigurong umabot sa deadline. Hehe..." 

"Ako nga rin eh. Haaaay! Keri lang yan friend!" she cheerfully said while stretching her arms. "Siya nga pala, di pa ba kayo nag-uusap ni Calvin?"

"Hindi pa nga eh. So habang pinapakalma pa niya ang sarili niya, I better work fast para umabot sa deadline at di makatanggap ng memo." I grinned at her, assuring her that I'm okay and Calvin too.

Alam ko namang may purpose ang nangyayari ngayon samin.

Lord, ikaw na po ang bahala sa kanya. Please help him and his family. I also pray for Doc Kevin.

As I planned, I worked non-stop until I finish every thing that needs to be passed.

It was almost 4 am again when I slept.

I woke up again at 6:30 am and prepared for work.

I was a bit lightheaded pero kaya pa naman so I didn't put much attention to it.

At the end of the day, Nalie and I decided to have a 30-minute run around NGC to relieve our stress. I went home, ate dinner and while they watched their favorite teleserye, I went up to my brother's room to work on some reports and prepare again for tomorrow. (nakiki-aircon nalang rin)

I was all set when I felt my left arm starting to tingle then numb. I immediately applied essential oils and gently massage the area to ease the pain yet it got worst.

I started to worry so I went down and asked help from my brother, who's a nurse, about my condition.

Pinagalitan pa ako dahil masyado raw akong busy sa trabaho. Inabuso ko na daw ang katawan ko lalo na ang mga kamay ko sa oras-oras na pagtatype sa computer.

Habang sinesermonan niya ako, patuloy namang minamasahe ni mama ang kamay ko.

There, I started to feel numb all over my body... parang may pumupiga sa puso ko... I'm getting thirsty....dizzy... and losing my sense of hearing. 

"Ma---" 

That was the last thing I said then everything around me turned black.
