A little cramped inside the carrier with Rain standing on his tail, Thunder could only wonder where the heck they were going. Peering through the cage like door of the carrier, he could see that they were in some kind of room. There were chairs up against the walls, people sitting in some of them. They were accompanied by animals. Dogs sat with their chins resting on their owners' laps. Cats huddled in carriers. There was a parrot in a cage but it had a cone on their head. Hearing something sniffing, both Thunder and Rain saw the basset hound from earlier. Walking around and sniffing everything in sight, the dog also noticed them. Eyes widening in terror, he scrambled away and howled, "TOM, THEY FOLLOWED US!"

"For a basset hound, you're very active," the basset hound's owner, presumably Tom, murmured as he picked up the dog.

"I wonder what his problem is. He seems so scared of something," Rain mumbled, taking pity on the basset hound. Silently giving his sister a sideways glance, Thunder opened his mouth to say something to her. Remembering how worked up she'll get if she found out that the basset hound was scared of them, he thought better of it and decided to keep his beak shut. Yawning, he rolled over onto his back and stretched. After a long day, he felt really tired. Blinking his eyes sleepily, the young hawk took a nap inside the carrier. Or at least tried to, since his sister kept accidentally stepping on either his tail or foot. Eventually, Rain found a comfortable spot and laid down, ready to fall asleep as well. Using her brother's chest as a pillow, she closed her deep brown eyes. Opening his light brown ones to look at her, Thunder sighed before getting ready to drift off again.

However, neither of their naps lasted very long when a young lady at the desk called something and the old man picked up the carrier they were inside and started walking down a hallway.
