"About freaking time!" Chloe hissed apathetically under her breath, lashing her tail side to side in irritation. Stuck behind the tabby cat as they walked through the dark tunnel that Pops had led them in, Buddy groaned as he grumbled, "Can you watch where you're waving that thing? I'm right behind ya and getting a face full of cat fur." Looking back at the dachshund who had spoken and Mel who was also behind her, the feline bared her teeth angrily and unsheathed her claws as she growled, "How bout you shut up before a cat actually takes your tongue?!" Up front, Pops seemed impressed and entranced by her words as he mumbled, "Amazing..." Meanwhile, everyone else who was behind the cat were frightened. Norman was just confused. Sweetpea froze in the air, his wings clasped firmly against his sides as he fell. A horrified Mel luckily caught him before he could hit the ground.

"Chloe," Gidget piped, getting over the shock before some of the others did. Looking over at Pops and motioning for him to continue leading the others, the fluffy white Pomeranian went on, "Why don't you walk with me and Tiberius if you're feeling so sour?" Standing beside his best friend, Tiberius could see the hatred flash in the feline's green eyes as she hissed, "I'd never walk anywhere close to a predator like him, even if the two options was between him and Pops."

"It wasn't a suggestion, it was an order. Now get your tail back here before I bite it off," Gidget snarled, baring her own teeth while her fur bristled. Both Chloe and Tiberius were terrified by her threat. Gulping, the tabby cat crept over and walked with them, making sure to put Gidget in between herself and the red tailed hawk. Padding quietly on his friend's right, Tiberius could feel the obese gray tabby cat's gaze burrowing into his skin. When he stole a glance over at her, she quickly looked away. But he had already seen the hate and suspicion.

Meanwhile, the others had reached the end of the dark tunnel, passing through some thick fog and into a cavernous room in the sewers. It was dark, gloomy and stank. One could hear the sound of animals mourning. Sure enough, there was a large group nearby, all gathered around in a huge crowd. Their cries filled the air, giving it an eerie chill.

Looking around, Buddy murmured, "Getting a weird vibe man."
