Letting out a tiny screech of fear, Thunder jumped back with fright. Trembling all over, his light brown eyes never left his mother's face. Whimpering, Rain crawled over to him. Both had no idea what had just happened to their parents and both were equally terrified about what could happen to them. Huddled up beside his little sister while she cried, Thunder whispered, "I swear on my life Rain, I won't let anything bad happen to you. I'll protect you, you hear me?" His sister nodded her head.

Staring at their mother in dead silence, the two siblings at first didn't hear anything out of the ordinary. But once they heard the familiar sound of a branch breaking, both lifted their heads. Slowly, they turned to look at each other. Terror was written on their faces. Shaking, they peered over the edge of the nest just as a huge hairless face came into view. Frightened, they backed away.

"Yo guys! There's two little ones up here!" the weird creature called down to the rest of its group. Another one from way down below called something back up. Thunder and Rain weren't able to tell what it had said. But they feared it was probably something not good. And they were correct as the weird creature grabbed something and wrapped them up in it, obscuring their vision.
