"About time you two came back. That storm just appeared out of nowhere," Alfred remarked quietly as the two red tailed hawk siblings landed on his leather glove. All of New York City was being swamped by a huge rainstorm. Gazing at their owner with big round eyes, both Tiberius and Rosa felt downright guilty that they couldn't get over to the building before it had started raining. Even though they had flown as fast as they possibly could, the storm had come much faster. There had been no escaping it and the pair were cold and wet. Meanwhile, the old man had been waiting for them to return and had been rained on as well. In other words. all three of them had been soaked to the skin. Fortunately for the brother and sister, their owner didn't seem mad at them as Alfred petted them both on their wet heads and suggested kindly, "How bout we get downstairs and get warm? I might even have some venison for the both of you."

"Venison!" Tiberius and Rosa cried happily, letting out shrieks of happiness and purring as loudly as possible the moment they heard that one word, the name of one of their favorite treats.

"I'm gonna take a wild guess here and say you guys really want that? I'm not surprised you grew so fond of deer meat," Alfred replied softly as he turned towards the roof exit. Opening the door and shutting it behind them as the rainstorm raged on outside, he carried the two hawks on his glove down the stairs. Shivering a little from being in the freezing cold rain, Tiberius's mouth watered at the thought of the venison they would have once they were all warm and dry in their cozy little apartment. The hawk was lost deep in his thoughts that he didn't notice what was happening at the moment.

That is until he felt himself moving downwards rapidly...
