His tail tucked firmly between his legs, Max looked around fearfully. The Flushed Pets were slowly closing in, ready to attack him. Norman waved to him from where he was wrapped up in the coils of a green snake. Snowball wasn't gonna be helping him any time soon. The rabbit was knocked out cold. Meanwhile, Duke was still in the animal control van over the side of the bridge. No one was coming to save him. Or at least that's what he thought. Everyone suddenly looked up when they heard a war cry.

Flying above everyone's heads, Tiberius heard Gidget letting out a mighty war cry. He couldn't help himself as he let out a screech. Flying towards the crocodile, the hawk felt the Pomeranian move a bit. A moment later, she launched herself off his back and right at the croc's face, knocking him down with ease. The other animals there were stunned to silence. No one paid any attention to the red tail as he flew up to the metal railings above.

Landing, Tiberius panted. His heart wasn't feeling too good. The poison was almost there. It wouldn't be long now until it killed him. Trying to remain calm, the old red tailed hawk silently watched the battle from above. The rest of the search party was doing a pretty good job with fighting. Mel and Buddy were mostly causing people to trip, Sweetpea pecked everyone on the head and Pops had a giant dog by the tail. Gidget, however, was taking out the strays one by one with ease. The Jack Russell terrier known as Max was watching her wherever she went.

Turning to his right, Tiberius spotted Chloe. She was trying to save Norman from a green snake that held him captive. Biting the reptile, she was able to free the young guinea pig before she threw the snake aside. The tabby proceeded to check on the little rodent's wellbeing, making sure he was okay. Tiberius was about to turn his head away when he saw that the green snake was silently slithering up to them, fangs unfolded. Realizing the danger they were in, the hawk didn't waste a second as he swooped down.

"I'm okay, I promise- LOOK OUT!" Norman squealed, pointing behind Chloe. The tabby cat turned her head to see the green snake lunging forward. Putting herself in front of the young guinea pig, the feline braced herself for the painful bite. However, she felt someone pushing her and Norman away. Holding Norman close to her, Chloe opened her eyes to find that it was Tiberius who saved them.

And the snake had just bitten him.
