"Please don't kill me, please don't kill me..." Tiberius mumbled repeatedly under his breath as he soared effortlessly on the wind. He had been told by his best friend Gidget to get over to her apartment in ten minutes. He was currently ten minutes late. In all honesty, the hawk had been on his way towards her apartment after he had caught a squirrel and eaten it. However, he just couldn't help himself when a whole flock of pigeons had flown by. He had swiftly and skillfully caught two of them. Seeing the Pomeranian's apartment come into view, Tiberius met his next challenge. Which window was open and which was not. Praying he didn't bust his skull on the cursed glass, he swooped down.

Luckily finding one window that was open, Tiberius perched on the windowsill and peered inside to find Gidget on a small shelf gazing down at a bunch of animals, consisting of one cat, one parakeet and three dogs. Looking over at the window, the parakeet was the first to see the hawk, his eyes widening in fear. At the same time, a pug was speaking, "But the outside world is loud and scary- WOAH! Is that a hawk?!" He had said that last part when he just so happened to glance over at the window too. Now all the animals, minus Gidget, were freaked out. Deciding to have a little fun, Tiberius let a sly smile creep up on his face.

Looking relieved, Gidget began the introduction, "Guys, this is my friend Tiberius. He's going to help us." Spreading his wings, Tiberius flew over and landed on a perch higher than where Gidget was as she added with a glance at him, "He's not going to eat us. We've already been over it." Confused, the hawk was left wondering when they had gone over that because he remembered nothing about that kind of discussion. The other pets were visibly terrified of him. A chihuahua hid underneath the pug while a dachshund cowered beside him under the glass table. A fat gray tabby cat was trying to go farther into the glass bowl she was in while the parakeet was hiding behind more glass. Shaking, the dachshund spoke, "Come on Gidget, we go out there without a leash, we'll get caught by a net. Or something worse!"

"Yeah, like a hawk!" the pug added, banging his head on the table and knocking the parakeet out of his hiding spot. Frightened, the small bird hid behind the bowl the cat was shoved in. Hearing the harshness in the dog's tone, Tiberius glared at the pets, wondering which one he should eat first after that insult. Meanwhile, Gidget cried desperately, "We're wasting time! Max needs us!"

"Come on girl, Max doesn't even know you're alive," the dachshund pointed out. The other animals slightly nodded their heads in agreement. Tiberius glanced over at Gidget as she responded without hesitation, "Well I don't care! I love him! I love him with all of my heart! And I'm gonna look for Max, no matter who's with me! So... who's with me?" She directed the question towards the other pets, who were all looking up at her silently. That is until the chihuahua walked away while the others watched him. The door shut behind the tiny dog. Still quiet, the pets looked up at Gidget, who was clearly shocked by what happened. Face hardening, the Pomeranian turned her head away as she grumbled, "Alright, fine. Fine."

Tiberius's talons had spread out as he noted that the chihuahua was going to be the first to go.
