"Gidget! There's a truck!" Mel cried out just as Buddy shouted at the same time, "RUN!" Sweetpea chirped a warning call while he flew in circles above their heads. Chloe and Pops joined the three friends in calling to the fluffy white Pomeranian. Hearing them, Gidget glanced to her left. Seeing the truck coming closer, she instantly froze up. She wanted her legs to move but nothing would happen, no matter how loud her brain was shouting at her. At this point, everyone feared that the truck was going to hit her.

But that didn't happen.

Literally the first one to see the large truck, Tiberius was the only one to act. Without any hesitation, the old red tailed hawk dashed out onto the road. Grabbing Gidget by the scruff of her neck, he pulled her out of the way just as the truck rushed by, taking one of his feathers with it. Luckily avoiding the traffic in the other lane, the pair crashed onto the sidewalk before finally rolling to a stop beside a brick wall.

Struggling to catch his breath, Tiberius found himself flat on his back with Gidget trembling on top of him. Seeming to notice that too, the fluffy white Pomeranian didn't even say anything. She only looked him in the eye. "Thank you..." she whispered softly, her voice quaking in fear after what had happened not too long ago. Leaning forward, she gently placed a small kiss on his forehead before getting off of his chest. By the time Tiberius rolled over to his feet the other pets had crowded around them. Or Gidget at least.

"Gidget, are you okay?!" Mel and Buddy asked at the same time, concern evident in their voices. Hovering above their heads, Sweetpea chirped and whistled. Pops was checking the Pomeranian to see if she had any injuries while Chloe stood by. Though she was talking to the small dog, Tiberius saw that she was glaring at him angrily. The old hawk just turned his head away, knowing it was most definitely useless to say anything around the tabby cat. He didn't even want to hear anything she had to say to him. His mind was made up, his decision becoming his path.

He was going to stay with the group and help save Max.
