It’s been almost two hours since I came back down with Ryan after he tried to kiss me. I haven’t seen him much since, but aside from an awkward tension naturally between us now- he’s been pretty normal.
I still can’t get it off my mind though... I’m in shock.
How did I not kiss him?
It’s not even that I wanted to kiss him. That surprisingly hasn’t crossed my mind other than to think about how Jena would have, just so she could jump his bones later.
I just... wouldn’t expect not to based on past experiences.
Being as uncomfortable with it as I was, I would’ve expected Jena to take control and get it done. That’s what she always does.
This rehab thing is really working?
“Who wants to know who’s coming to see them today?!” Ren emerges from the community room singing. “It looks like we’ve got some new visitors coming in! But for whoooo?!”
God, she irks me so bad. Everything she does makes my skin crawl. She needs a reality check, that’s all. Let me just figure out a way to make it happen.
Sarah runs up to Ren, excitedly going on about how her dad is coming to visit today. I don’t even need to hear Ren to recognize the snarky response she shoots toward Sarah.
Naturally, I want to interfere; I could call Sarah over here to keep her from Ren. It’d be another one of her “powers” I could steal, and from right under her nose.
I can’t stop my internal debate from going on about Jena though. Is it really good that she’s gone? I need her to help me get through my sentence without losing my mind!
Isn’t there an in-between?
“Last call!” Ren’s singsong voice breaks through my mental debate. I roll my eyes in annoyance just having to listen to it. “We’ve got a celebrity in the building later! I’m sure someone wants to know who!”
Oh, God.
I look to where she stands at the Nurses counter, catching her gaze on me and rolling my in response.
She doesn’t like it, but I don’t care.
Does she think I’m stupid? I mean, come on! Ren is nasty; She’s a power hungry sociopath with a bad attitude, and a worse personality. But does she have to be so elementary?
She thinks I’d give in because she knows who’s coming to visit me?
It’s Harper, Harlee, or Tyler. But I’m betting on either Harper or Ty, because Harlee doesn’t give enough of a fuck about me.
BAM! It’s figured it out.
