Ryan is a lot more relaxed by the time we make it to the roof for my nightly break.

I didn’t have to hide the fact that I was leaving from Ren; She’s too excited about tomorrow night to care about anything anyway. She thinks she’s pulling one over on me, but she’s only falling right into place for my plan.

Now it’s just a matter of convincing Ryan to help me out, which I’m sure Jena can do with no problem.

“Hey Ryan,” I say, trying to seem nonchalant as we make our way to our usual spot on the roof. He turns to face me before lowering himself to the ground. “How would you like to be my Superman?” I ask.

My question excites him more than I intend it to. His eyes light up as he responds.

“You already know I’d love to,” he says, reaching his arm out to pull me closer to him. “Why, what’s up?”

I expected an answer like that: It helps the nerves I feel coming on anticipating his answer to my next question.

He could never say no to me… not anymore. Jena’s monster swallowed him whole, just like she does every other man.

“I need you to do me a huge favor, okay?” I ask, allowing my head to rest on his shoulder to play up on his crush. I take a deep breath before continuing. “Can you bring Ren up here tomorrow night, instead of me?”

I can feel the confusion flood his body.

“Why?” he asks, turning his head to face me though I refuse to lift mine from his shoulder to do the same.

I knew he’d ask that, but have a hard time coming up with a response now that it’s time to.

“Can’t you just do it?” I ask, lifting my head to jut out my bottom lip. “Without asking so many questions? I’ve got a plan to get rid of Ren. I need her up here tomorrow night though!”

I know he’ll want more details than that, but I really don’t want to get into it with him. One way or another; I’d end up telling him about Evan, and how I found out they’re not even sleeping together.

This kid is far too sensitive for me to spring that on him. Especially after using my “relationship” with him to ask him for a favor.

“Hayden, this is my job,” he says after a few moments of contemplating his words. “ I’m not some kid here- I’m an adult. I work here; I risk a lot more than losing TV time if I did that!”

“You do it every day!” I can’t help from yelling as he finishes. “You don’t even need to stay up here with her; Drop her off and go! I have that covered!”

Ryan flattens his brows and lets out a small sigh before continuing.

“Why do you need her to come up here?” he asks, crossing his arms over his chest. “What’s the bigger picture? What’s your plan?”

I didn’t want to give him any more details than that, but have resigned myself knowing that it’s probably the only way he’ll do it.

Taking a deep breath, I prepare for him to lose his shit.

“I’m going to get her busted for sneaking up here,” I tell him. “Everything is worked out already, I just need you.
