~Chapter 7~

"Well, at least you can walk on your own now- erm... well someone still has to help you so you don't walk in a wall... but still!~" Kaida chirped holding onto Hana's jacket helping her walk up the street to Eiko's house, where Hana had been staying.

"Yeah. Oh, and thanks for being my eyes Kaida.~" Hana said sweetly to the little kitsune kit.

"Not a problem!~" Kaida chirped happily.

"Ah, Hana, it's wonderful to see you up and about!~" Aia said before giving her a soft hug. Hana smiled and hugged her newfound friend back.

"Feels good to be up and about." Hana said with a soft giggle. She then felt tiny paws on her leg making her smile and carefully kneel down to pet Kirara.

"Hi Kirara.~" Kirara purred leaning into Hana's touch.

"Hey, you two wanna go get some dango?" Aia asked while Hana stood up.

"Yeah!~" Kaida cheered.

"Sure.~" Hana said with a smile. Aia, Hana, and Kaida went over to the sweets hut getting some dango for the three to share. The laughed and gossiped while they ate, other people of the village glancing over only to smile and go back to what they were doing.

"Kaito seriously tried to grab her chest?!" Hana asked busting up laughing.

"Yeah!!!" Aia said laughing as well.

"Hey, you three!" 

"Papa!~" Kaida jumped off of Hana's lap running over to Shippō jumping into his arms. He laughed catching her and hugging her.

"Hey rascal!~" He said before sitting beside Hana and Aia.

"Hey, Shippō!" Aia chirped.

"Hey ladies, how's your day going?" He asked leaning back against the wall they were sitting next to.

"It's good!" Aia said with a smile.

"Yeah." Hana said giving a gentle smile.

"Oh papa, I'm being Hana's eyes while hers are healing!~" Kaida said pridefully.

"Mhmm, she's good at it too. I only ran into a tree once." Hana said before laughing.

"Sorry, I saw a butterfly." Kaida said puffing her cheeks making Shippō and Aia laugh. The four spoke for a little longer, smiles and laugher coming from each of them. However, that was cut short when there was a loud crash and screaming could be heard nearby.

"Stay here!" Shippō said before he quickly handed Hana Kaida jumping up and running to where the crash was.

"We need to get out of here!" Aia said snatching Hana's free hand and nearly dragging her as she ran away from where the crash was.

"What's going on?!" Hana asked scared.

"I don't know, but not sticking around to find out!" Aia said.

"Guys!" Kaito called. Aia stopped, looked, then ran over to him pulling Hana along.

"Down here!" Aia dragged Hana down some stairs making her nearly fall several times, but when they made it down Aia finally stopped bending over putting her hands on her knees to catch her breath.

"Kaito what's going on?" Aia asked when she finally caught her breath. Kaito fell silent for a moment.

"I... think it might be Inuyasha." He muttered softly making Hana tense.

"Don't worry Hana, he can't get us down here!" Kaida said hugging her to try and soothe her friend.

"Let's hope so." Kaito said softly. There was a loud bang outside making those in the bunker jump and the kids cry.
