~Their Salvation~

~Chapter 28~

"What's with them?!" Inuyasha snarled before using wind scar once again.

"They're never-ending." Aia said before throwing Hiraikotsu again. Hana stood up getting ready to shoot once more, but there was a sudden harsh blow of wind knocking everyone off balance. The reins went loose, and Hana slipped falling off of A-Un.

"Hana!!" Inuyasha yelled. Hana looked down, then got an idea. She shot at the ground making a large flame of her magic spark, then smaller balls of it whirled around her slowing her fall so she could carefully land on her feet.

"Hana are you ok?!" Shippō asked as he quickly landed beside her to check on her.

"H-Haha, yeah, I just uh... wanted to show off? Totally planned that!~" She tried to play off before quickly aiming and shooting right behind Shippō making him quickly look over his shoulder, he was nearly struck.

"Planned that too?" Hana gave a playful grin before shooting her arrow at a large cluster blowing them back revealing Sesshomaru.

"Oh, hey Sesshy!" She called before reloading her bow once more. He ignored her too busy dealing with the swarm to speak.

"Where are they all coming from?!" Hana asked as she and Shippō was soon forced to stand back to back.

"I don't know." He said before flames danced his arms and hands.

"If we don't find the heart of this, we'll be here all day." Hana said before shooting her arrow, Shippō shooting his strong flames clearing out a large amount of them. That didn't matter though, because they still surrounded them, and grew even closer. Suddenly, Inuyasha slammed to the ground beside them, his weapon digging into the earth as a large ring around them flashed killing what could have been hundreds of them.

"Holy shit, I see you Inuyasha!" Shippō said with a laugh. Inuyasha yanked his weapon out of the ground before getting in a battle stance.

"The sky attacks are retreating." He said getting in a battle stance.

"That's either really good or really bad." Hana whispered standing beside Inuyasha.

"Most likely good, you guys held them back better than we held these guys back down here." Shippō mentioned.

"That means we'll have more down here." Inuyasha muttered before glancing at Hana's arrow.

"Hana, shoot your arrow into my attack." Inuyasha instructed.

"Alright." Hana said as she readied her bow. Inuyasha aimed and waited for more to come, then swung his sword. As soon as he did, Hana shot her arrow. Wind scar's golden hue soon turned a sunset orange as their magic mixed and a large explosion occurred clearing out a large amount as Sesshomaru flew up dodging the attack.

"Sorry, Sesshomaru!" Hana called making him land beside them.

"We can't keep this up, we need to advance." He said.

"Yeah, but how?" Hana asked. Inuyasha thought for a moment before kneeling down.

"Get on." Hana wanted to ask why, but didn't and got on. He carefully held her thighs as he stood up.

"Ready your arrow, we're heading through!" Inuyasha said before rushing forward. Hana did as told, whenever she had to clear the way, she used her arrows. Sesshomaru and Shippō took this time to keep the enemy from reaching the village with the aid of Aia, Kaito, Kirara, and A-Un from above. Suddenly, Inuyasha came to a screeching halt when a large black wall with purple and red markings on it.

"What the?" He whispered before carefully setting Hana down.

"Stay behind, keep them off my back." Hana nodded and did at told. Inuyasha readied wind scar, then attacked, but the wall only absorbed it as it glowed brighter for a moment.

"What?" Hana looked back.

"Switch sides." Inuyasha nodded and quickly switched with her. She aimed an arrow at the barrier and shot, yet, the same thing happened. 

"Damn." She whispered. She then jumped out of her skin when the barrier expanded and shot towards her grabbing her.

"HANA!!!" Inuyasha yelled, he tried to grab her but missed by a strand of hair.

Hana's eyes fluttered open, the air around her as cold as ice making her shiver. Her head spun a little as she slowly sat up. Finally, it all came back to her making her stand and look around quickly. She looked to be in the village, but, it looked dead.

"Inuyasha?!" Hana called. When she got no answer she tried to whistle, maybe he could hear that better than her voice. Still, no answer. That was until she turned and suddenly, there was a girl behind her making her jump back. She studied her for a moment, then her eyes grew wide.

"K-Kagome?" Her lips twitched, then grew into a smile. She opened her eyes, they were crimson. Hana backed away more seeing this.

"So it is true, you took her body." She whispered.

"It's interesting what you can do with a priestess' body. Corrupted magic is far more powerful than I could have imagined, far more powerful than dark magic us yōkai possess." He said with a sickening grin on his face. Hana glared at him.

"You're a needy hanyō, not a proud yōkai." She growled. He stood there for a moment, then busted up laughing, Kagome's voice slipping through his own making Hana's chest clench.

"Oh, how snotty you are." His face then dropped to a serious one as he advanced her, that was until Hana quickly drew her bow aiming an arrow at him.

"Stay away from me!" She snapped. Naraku tilted Kagome's head, then a grin fell on her lips again.

"How curious." He whispered before taking a step back, then he opened her arms invitingly.

"Go on then, you have the perfect chance to kill me right now." He taunted making Hana's eyes narrow.

"But, can you?" He asked making Hana wear a confused look.

"Think about it Hana, you're a smart girl." He taunted once more. Hana thought for a moment, then the crimson in Kagome's eyes flashed away for a split moment making Hana's eyes widen.

"Kagome." She whispered.

"The only way to be rid of me is to kill me. Though I am curious, can you do it? Can you pierce Kagome's heart killing her? Will you speak of it? Will you hide it?" His face grew dark.

"Will it break Inuyasha as well?" Hana's breath hitched.

'Kill Kagome, I know. Stop babying me.' Inuyasha's voice rang in her head making her hands shake.

"What will you choose, Hana?" Naraku asked with a cocky grin.

'I need to, it'll end it all!' Soon, her whole body shook.

'But, Kagome, Inuyasha. Inuyasha loves Kagome, I... I can't.' She slowly lowered her bow and arrow making Naraku laugh.

"Interesting." Suddenly Kagome was right in front of her, grabbed her throat, and held Hana in the air. Hana dropped her bow and arrow grabbing and clawing at Kagome's hand and arm, she couldn't breathe.

"Shame though, I was hoping to have some fun with you." Naraku muttered softly before squeezing Hana's throat harder making Hana cough and try to get a breath, her head spinning from lack of air as she kicked at Kagome, but she didn't budge.

"Inu... yasha."
