~Chapter 13~

"Wow, these are good!~" Hana said taking a bite of her cooked koi fish.

"I know, they're my favorite!" Aia said with a smile.

"Mhmm!" Shippō hummed with his mouth full making them laugh. Hana tensed for a moment feeling something brush against her neck, she looked to see it was Inuyasha's hair right before his nose started twitching.

"Hmm, you'd think you would have remembered my scent by now." Hana muttered softly. Inuyasha then gently nuzzled her neck making her giggle.

"Someone's cuddly.~" She teased only to be ignored as he nuzzled her once more. This caught Sesshomaru and Shippō's attention making them stare for a moment.

"Is he?" Shippō trailed off glancing up at Sesshomaru.

"Not sure, but if so then we need to get there as soon as we can. He's gentle with her now, but if this keeps up he'll get rougher and rougher."

"What is he attracted to?"

"Not sure."

"Ah Inu stop that tickles!" Hana squealed as Inuyasha climbed over her nuzzling her more making her laugh.

"He's like a puppy!" Kaito said laughing.

"Lord Sesshomaru, you suspect he's trying to-"

"We can't jump to conclusions." Sesshomaru cut Myōga off.

"Hold up, we're talking about Hana here, I want to know what you guys are talking about." Aia said crossing her arms. Sesshomaru let out an irritated sigh.

"We don't know for sure-"

"Don't care, spill." Shippō shyed away in an 'I'm not a part of this.' Sesshomaru growled under his breath.

"Male demons of our kind tend to act like this towards a female when they grow attached to them. However, see how he's nuzzling her neck and sniffing it a lot?" Aia looked over at Hana who was now trying to push on Inuyasha's chest.

"Inuyasha stop let me breathe hahaha!" She squealed, face red from laughter at his ticklish nuzzling.

"I've noticed that." Aia whispered.

"It's a check per say, the easiest way to explain it is, well." Sesshomaru trailed off trying to think of a way to explain it.

"He's making sure she hasn't been marked by another demon yet, this should calm down now he's going to be around her more and will be able to understand, no, she hasn't. However, when he's away and comes back he does this a lot because he wasn't around her, thus making her vulnerable to other males."

"So guys aren't allowed around her?" Aia asked softly.

"Well, kinda, he seems to be ok with them being around her, thus he isn't growling at us men, his issue seems to be touching her. So if I were to take her hand, well, I would end up with a massive wound unless she stops him." Aia tensed.

"So uh, he can tell who's male and not right?"

"Yes, females have different pheromones then males." She sighed.

"Good, because no one is stopping me from giving her hugs, she gives the best ones." 

"Ahg, ok hi.-" Everyone looked over to see Inuyasha was now laying his head on Hana's chest and was pretty much using her as a bed still nuzzling her.

"Say, I know she's pretty but what's attracting him so much?" Aia asked giggling at the sight.

"He can't see properly, he sees heat sources as of now. So it must be her scent and voice attracting him." Inuyasha let out a tiny purr like growl when Hana started petting him.

"So... you and I see these signs and you're still not convinced that's the case?" Aia asked looking back at Sesshomaru.

"Well you see, he was sealed away at a young age for a very long time, so it also could be that he has a mind of a pup."

"Wasn't he like, two hundred and three years old when he was sealed, how is that a puppy?"

"You humans age and die faster than us, so, until you hit around five hundred years old you're still considered kin to a demon."

"So we're all just babies to you?"

"Pretty much, yes." Aia glared.

"I'll have you know I am NOT a child let alone a baby." She growled before sighing and looking over at Hana and Inuyasha again.

"So it could be he's just a puppy loving his master, or he's uh, for the lack of better words, horny for her." Aia muttered.

"Well no, he won't necessarily be horny for her until spring, aka mating season. Possessive, yes, at all times." Aia sighed rather loudly.

"Hana, you got your hands full." Hana looked over. Since she stopped petting her Inuyasha glanced up looking to where she was looking rather annoyed someone interrupted.

"Hmm?" Hana hummed confused.

"Oh wait, uh, question." Aia said rather suddenly.

"What?" Hana asked sitting up making Inuyasha huff annoyed, then lay his head in her lap.

"You got a lover back at home by any chance?" Hana blushed at the question.

"U-Uh, n-no?" Aia sighed with a smile.

"Good." Hana tilted her head.

"Why?" Aia snickered.

"Well, maybe you'll get lucky on this adventure.~" She winked at Hana making her blush.

"P-Pardon?" Aia laughed leaving Hana in the dark and rather confused. Sesshomaru sighed leaning back on his Mokomoko-san closing his eyes, most likely regretting this new babysitting job he took on just to help his brother.

"Rest, we're going to be walking tomorrow." He muttered.

"Don't gotta tell me twice!~" Shippō chirped before laying back curling up and getting comfy ready for sleep.

"Yeah." Hana yawned making Inuyasha look up at her.

"No need to tell me twice.~" She laid back again. When Inuyasha moved to get on her again she turned to her side getting comfy, so he moved to lay next to her instead.

'He really does remind me of a puppy.' Aia thought before laying down herself, now regretting the fact she chose to sleep near her brother who was already snoring. She grabbed a cloth shoving it in his mouth to make him shut up before smiling and closing her eyes getting comfy. Sleep soon took the group into her gentle embrace.
