~Their Salvation~

~Chapter 9~

"Hana please wake up!" Hana let out a tiny groan.

"Oh thank goodness! Lady Eiko she's awake!" Aia called.

"Oh thank the gods." Eiko said walking over kneeling beside Aia.

"Hana, do you remember what happened?" Eiko asked softly. Hana turned over before yawning softly.

"Hmm?"

"Come on you, wake up." Eiko said in a joking tone.

"I'm up, I'm up." Hana said before sitting up slowly and stretching before she curled up hissing in pain.

"Easy easy!" Aia said grabbing her shoulders.

"You have many bruises, they will be painful for a while." Aia suddenly hugged Hana.

"I'm so so so so so so so so sorry, I didn't think you would follow me!" She cried burying her face into Hana's shoulder. Hana sighed before wrapping her arms around her friend.

"It's ok Aia. I'm glad you're ok." Hana spoke softly.

"She ran into Sesshomaru, on their way back to the village they found you wrapped in a fur pelt. The same one Inuyasha wore." Kaito explained sitting next to Hana putting a gentle hand on her back. Hana then felt what she was covered with, it was the fur pelt.

"There was a snake demon corpse next to you, fresh at that." Hana nodded.

"It nearly crushed me, though Inuyasha came out of nowhere killing it. Scared me half to death though, I didn't know it was him until he growled."

"Did he cut your eyebrow and forehead?" Eiko asked.

"Oh, uh, n-no. I ran into a tree." Hana said embarrassed.

"I grew weak, most likely thanks to that snake demon crushing the air out of me, but he caught me and wrapped me. I don't remember what happened after that though."

"I see, so my brother seems to have a weakness for you." A deep and raspy voice spoke gaining everyone's attention.

"As, Lord Sesshomaru, you're up." Aia said with a smile.

"I've been, I just needed time to think." He walked over taking Aia's place kneeling beside Hana.

"His scent was all over you when we found you, I am surprised he didn't kill you." He brought a hand to her wraps taking them off.

"Stay still." He commanded softly, Hana listened not moving when he hovered his hand an inch away from her eyes. There was a soft glow bringing her warmth for a few moments, then it stopped as he pulled away.

"Open your eyes." Hana hesitated, but slowly opened her eyes. She blinked a couple of times confused, she didn't feel any pain this time.

"Thankfully they were nearly healed, I can only do so much for others seeing as this ability is to heal one's self." He explained. Hana looked over freezing for a moment.

"W-Whoa, you l-look a lot like him." Sesshomaru let out a sigh closing his eyes.

"Now that he's changed, yes, we do. Before it was only our hair that was similar." Hana glanced up seeing his hair was tied back in a higher up ponytail.

"Now explain to me how you got here." He said looking into her eyes, his eyes a golden amber and surprisingly gentle for a giant, at least compared to Hana.

"R-Right, w-well." She sighed rubbing the back of her neck.

"You see... I am of Kagome's brother's bloodline, s-so I was told of this era and the stories of Kagome's adventures. So uh, we were celebrating the "release" of Inuyasha, most of the family curious if the well would open. It didn't but uh, there was like a voice I heard? No one else seemed to hear it, but it kept saying go. I don't know who's voice it was, but uh, I got curious and touched one of the several seals on the well, they all burned away, it flew open, then I was like dragged in? I was underwater, then I could breathe again and it looked like I was surrounded by stars and I was floating, then I blacked out. I woke up in a dried out well, climbed out, and now I'm here." He nodded.

"How did you find my brother?" He asked propping his leg up and putting his arm on his knee.

"Uh, I might sound insane if I don't already, but there was this like tiny soft pink flame? When I got closer it moved away, beckoning me almost. So uh, like the dumbass I seem to be lately, I followed it until it just poofed and then I saw him sealed to the tree." Hana explained, her face growing red realizing how dumb she must have sounded.

"What did you do when you found him?" She turned bright red.

"W-Well, I uh, looked around and such then I saw I could climb up closer to him." She looked to the side.

"A-And when I did I uh, played with his hair, th-then grew curious and petted his... e-ears a bit." She stuttered out softly.

"Kagome did the same thing, it's fine, go on." He spoke softly taking in the information given to him.

"I heard the voice again, it told me to free him or something of the similar, and uh, I touched the gem being curious and I think it exploded? I'm not sure, there was a flash nearly blinding me, he was free, I realized I fucked up, I backed up only to fall and then thought I was dead. Then he noticed me, walked over, yanked me up, held my face for a hot minute, then just let me go walking past me. Then I blacked out." Sesshomaru stared for a moment before closing his eyes.

"Shippō's right, history is repeating itself." Sesshomaru muttered softly.

"W-Wait, then am I somehow connected to Kagome? But I'm not of her blood I'm-"

"It matters not. You have her powers, you're her descendant." Hana looked down.

"So... So I'm just here only to seal him away again?" 

"If push comes to shove, however, if he spared your life on multiple meetings then maybe you don't need to." Hana looked up at Sesshomaru again.

"What else could we do?" She asked softly.

"I am unsure. I'm not even sure what really happened."

"But in Kagome's diary, it said he transformed so you and the others helped seal him away before he-"

"That is not what happened." He spoke sternly making her freeze.

"There was a red beam, yes he started to transform, but then there was another that shot at Kagome, her eyes changed color and she was just... different." He muttered.

"Then... who wrote in her?" Hana trailed off.

"Whoever is controlling her." Everyone looked up to see Shippō.

"You should be resting." Sesshomaru growled lowly. Shippō ignored him sitting next to him.

"I have a feeling Naraku took her body before he was killed." He muttered.

"You do have a point." Sesshomaru muttered.

"So Kagome isn't even Kagome, then why did he do that to Inuyasha?" Aia asked leaning on Sesshomaru's Mokomoko-san.

"History always repeats, he knew someone would free him, and I'm sure he hoped Inuyasha would cause trouble. However, Hana seemed to snap him out of it, sorta anyway." Shippō said softly.

"So he didn't mean to hurt you, papa?" Kaida said walking up to Shippō and sitting next to him.

"No, he and I were friends, he'd never try and kill me." He said with a reassuring smile.

"So, what do we do now?" Hana asked softly. Sesshomaru closed his eyes for a moment.

"We wait."
