"Haa, I'm tired." Hana mumbled as she faceplanted onto her bed. Inuyasha chuckled softly as he took his beanie off letting his ears be free once more.

"Well, get dressed so you can go to bed of you're tired." He said playfully.

"Mhmm." She hummed but didn't move. Inuyasha shook his head gently as he took off his hoodie tossing it to the side for the time being, it landed on the edge of the bed making Hana look, grin, then snatch it as she got up.

"Gonna get changed." She then walked to the bathroom? This confused Inuyasha, but he decided to not question it. He got dressed in his normal clothing, leaving his armor off for the night, before laying on the bed waiting for Hana. Hana came back in only wearing the hoodie and panties, thankfully the hoodie was big enough for almost look like a medium-length dress on her. She plopped on the bed before crawling up next to Inuyasha and getting comfy.

"It's been a long day." She mumbled. Inuyasha chuckled softly pulling her close.

"Yeah." He muttered before rubbing her back soothingly. He glanced down, he could see his mark on her neck now. He leaned down and gently licked it making Hana shiver. He then nuzzled her making her smile and close her eyes.

"I love you." She whispered before falling asleep. Inuyasha's heartrate skyrocketed as his face warmed. He felt so excited hearing those words from her. Was he pissed that Yōki marked her? At first. Was he now? Hell no. He knew he'd never be able to gain the guts to do so, he was scared of screwing this up for the third time, but it seems to have made things better in a way. Inuyasha sighed and closing his eyes holding Hana close.

'Question is, now what?' He thought.

'I am curious about one of your memories, Inuyasha.' Yōki spoke up.

'What memory?' Inuyasha asked. Suddenly, an image flashed of the children he had saved from Hōraijima in his sight making him flinch a little, then open his eyes checking if he had woken Hana.

'Who are they?' Yōki asked.

'They are the hanyō children I and the others saved from the supposed war gods trapping them there, using an odd device to drain their power and use it for their own killing them in the process. Yōkai and humans lived there happily, peacefully, but it didn't last long.' Inuyasha explained.

'Their names were Ai, Asagi, Dai, Moegi, Roku, and Shion. Ai was somehow able to escape, she found me and the others and begged me to return with her to save her friends. I couldn't just say no to her.' He finished.

'Where are they now?' Yōki asked.

'Unsure.' Inuyasha simply said.

'I see the fox and your brother within these, they could know. If they know Kagome, Naraku might manipulate them into thinking you've turned bad now.' Inuyasha tensed a little.

'We should ask when we return, until then, rest.' Inuyasha sighed closing his eyes once more.

'Yeah.'

"Gah!" Inuyasha got the wind knocked out of him making Hana nearly jump off the bed in fear.

"Hi!~" Yoshifumi chirped. He jumped on Inuyasha to wake him. Hana let out a heavy breath relaxing again.

"Kami, child, what is wrong with you?" Inuyasha asked when he finally got his breath back.

'One hell of a way to be woken up I suppose.' Yōki mumbled. Yoshifumi laughed then gave Inuyasha a big hug.

"Did someone get candy this morning?" Hana asked.

"No, but I got to meet my baby sister last night and I'm super duper happy!" He cheered.

"Aww, how much do you love her?" Hana asked playfully.

"Tttthhhhhiiiiiisssss much!" Yoshifumi said spreading his arms as far as he could. He was still sitting on Inuyasha who had his arm over his eyes still tired yet shaken up from that sudden awakening.

"Whoa, that's a whole lot!" Hana said before scooping him up making his squeal then laugh. Inuyasha moved his arm and looked over at the two. He couldn't help but smile as he sat up scooping them both up making them both laugh. Yoshifumi looked up at both Hana and Inuyasha.

"Is what grandma said true, are you two lovers?" They both blushed.

"Y-Yeah." Hana said with a soft giggle.

"Ok, so lemme ask this again. Who said 'I love you' first?" They both froze.

'Who did, hmm?' Yōki teased Inuyasha.

"Inuyasha did." Hana spoke up for Inuyasha.

"Ooh.~ Wait, does that mean Inuyasha is my cousin now?" Yoshifumi asked.

"I mean, I guess so?" Hana asked looking up at Inuyasha curiously.

"Awesome!" Yoshifumi cheered giving them both a hug earning a laugh from the two.

"I told you to not wake them up!" Yamaji suddenly snapped from downstairs making the three freeze. Hana then winked at the boys and cupped her hands around her mouth.

"We were already awake, it's fine!" She called. Yoshifumi's eyes sparkled as he cuddled her as thanks.

"Alright then." Yamaji called up making Hana sigh.

"Thanks." Yoshifumi whispered.

"I've always got your back." Hana said winking.

"Anyway, we should head back, huh?" Hana asked looking up at Inuyasha.

"Yeah." Hana and Yoshifumi got off of him so he could stand up and stretch.

"Grandma's making breakfast downstairs, so hurry!" Yoshifumi said before running downstairs making Hana laugh.

"Ah, a little angel." Hana said with a warm smile.

"Uhn." Inuyasha said as he put on the last piece of armor.

"I'll meet you downstairs, ok?" Inuyasha nodded then walked out letting Hana get dressed. Once she did, she grabbed her staff latching it to the holder resting on her back before grabbing her bag and going downstairs.

"Breakfast!" Her grandmother called to the rest of the house.

"Yeah!" Both Yoshifumi and Hana cheered.

"You'd think they never eat." Yamaji muttered to Inuyasha who smiled but nodded. They walked in the kitchen to join the others, they all were smiling brightly, even Hana.

'She's so young, yet she's fighting in a war now.' Inuyasha's ears fell a little at Yōki's words.

'And yet, no matter how much I wish we could leave her home where she's safe, she's what we need the most right now.'

"Aren't you gonna eat too?" Hana asked making Inuyasha perk up and look over.

"Yeah."
