"Wait, you actually got her to go to sleep?" Kasai asked a little surprised.
"It is not that difficult." Inuyasha spoke in a more snarky tone than he intended before walking past Hana's father.
"Inuyasha." Yanai spoke up as she walked back into the living room. Inuyasha stopped and looked over.
"I might have found something." She said as she held out what looked to be an old scroll. Inuyasha took it and opened it.
"Jii-chan's handwriting." He whispered ever so softly, his chest coiling in memory as he read it. As his golden eyes scanned the page, they widened a little more and a little more.
"It's calling upon several gods and goddesses." He whispered.
"What does it say Inuyasha-sama?" Yoshifumi asked.
"Darksome night and shining moon, hearken to our sorrowful call. North, east, south, west, we call ye forth, to this home, blest. Earth and air, fire and water, come join ye sons and ye daughters. Body, mind, soul, and heart, come to this sacred space, two worlds apart. Gentle mother of earth, strong father of sky, join our hearts, time is nigh. Great spirit, divine one, creator of all, answer our sorrowful call. The circle is cast, the light unbroken. So mote it be, our magic spoken." Inuyasha read out loud.
"You said it was written by 'Jii-chan.' Who are you talking about?" Kasai asked.
"Kagome's grandfather."
"What does it mean?" Yoshifumi asked, beyond confused at this point.
"Inuyasha's right, it's calling upon several gods and goddesses, but for what I am unsure." Yanai explained.
"For Kagome." Inuyasha muttered.
"For Kagome?" Anno asked.
"Body, mind, soul, and heart, come to this sacred space, two worlds apart. Gentle mother of earth, strong father of sky, join our hearts, time is nigh." Inuyasha resighted before closing the scroll gently.
"Two worlds apart, he speaks of the well."
"Time is nigh, he knew something bad was going to happen at any given moment." Fujima muttered.
"He must have written this after Kagome's writing was found." Yanai said sorrowfully.
"It's not even a spell, is it?" Kasai asked softly.
"A prayer." Inuyasha clarified.
"And yet, it did not work." Fujima said in a sorrowful tone.
"Of course not." Inuyasha said.
"What?" Anno asked.
"Jii-chan may have run this shrine, but he had no true connections to any form of spiritual energy as Kagome and Hana do. Thus, the prayer was for not." Inuyasha muttered the last part very softly.
"Wait, what if Hana made this prayer?" Anno asked.
"I am unsure, but she cannot use her voice right now, not for a little bit anyway."
"Umm, Inuyasha-sama?" Yoshifumi asked softly.
"What is it?" He asked Yoshifumi.
"Who is the gentle mother of earth and strong father of sky?" Yoshifumi asked. Inuyasha thought for a moment.
"I... am unsure of that, Yoshifumi." Inuyasha answered truthfully.
"Hmm, I wonder that as well, it's very specific." Yanai muttered.
"Maybe when Hana wakes, she can take a look and we can get her thoughts on it." Everyone nodded.
"For now, let her rest."
