~Their Salvation~

~Chapter 34~

"Darksome night and shining moon, hearken to our sorrowful call. North, east, south, west, we call ye forth, to this home, blest. Earth and air, fire and water, come join ye sons and ye daughters. Body, mind, soul, and heart, come to this sacred space, two worlds apart. Gentle mother of earth, strong father of sky, join our hearts, time is nigh. Great spirit, divine one, creator of all, answer our sorrowful call. The circle is cast, the light unbroken. So mote it be, our magic spoken." Hana whispered out loud as her eyes scanned the scroll with care.

"Inuyasha believes that Kagome's grandfather wrote that as a prayer after Kagome's diary was found." Yanai explained.

"Hmm, that's how it sounds." Hana muttered. She reread it once more to herself, then her eyes widened a little.

"Gentle mother of earth, strong father of sky, join our hearts, time is nigh." She read that line, yet again, out loud.

'I healed your throat. If you truly wish to take that risk, then you must soon, time is nigh.' 

"Tōga." Hana whispered.

"Tōga? Who's Tōga?" Anno asked.

"Inuyasha's father. Gentle mother of earth, strong father of sky, it's referring to Inuyasha's mother and father!" Hana concluded.

"Why would Kagome's grandfather pray to them?" Fujima asked.

"Kagome's writing spoke of Inuyasha being dangerous, he must have thought if he prayed to his parents they could somehow contact him and save him from losing control." Hana muttered softly.

"It makes sense, his father was a well known daiyōkai lord, capable of slaying hundreds of yōkai in one swing." Yanai said.

"That's an understatement." Hana said before closing the scroll with care.

"If we use that, can we block Kagome from coming and hurting us?" Yoshifumi asked Hana.

"Possibly." She muttered.

"You're up." Kasai spoke making the others look over. Inuyasha held his head for a moment before looking over.

"Hey." Hana said with a smile.

"Hey." Inuyasha muttered. 

"We showed her the scroll, Inuyasha-sama." Yoshifumi said with a smile.

"What are you thinking?" He asked.

"Well, for starters, I know who gentle mother of earth and strong father of sky are."

"Who?" Inuyasha asked before getting up and moving beside Hana.

"Your mother and father." Inuyasha gave a very confused look.

"Gentle mother of earth, a human mother. Strong father of sky, a father daiyōkai lord." Hana explained.

"Why would Jii-chan pray to them?" Inuyasha whispered softly.

"Parents protect and heal their kin Inuyasha. He was pleading for yours to come to our aid." Hana explained once again. Inuyasha thought for a moment.

"You mentioned my father earlier outside." He muttered softly.

"Yes." Hana confirmed. Inuyasha fell silent at this.

"So, what now?" Kasai asked. Hana sighed before opening the scroll once again. She scanned it over and over, but got nothing.

"I got it!" Yoshifumi cheered suddenly making the others flinch before looking at him.

"Y-You do?" Yanai, Anno, Kasai, and Fujima asked.
