~Chapter 27~

Dear future me,

It's been a week since I went back to visit my family, I hope they are still doing well. I think I've finally got a hang on this journaling stuff. Unlike Kagome, I never did this sort of thing, but I suppose it's a good way to track things as Fujima suggested.

Anyway, back to the actual point of this journal. My training has gone pretty well! I know the others say so anyway. A couple of days ago, Sesshomaru came back pretty beaten up from training with Shippō and Inuyasha so Eiko told me to heal him instead of her. I was pretty surprised that he trusted me with such, but thankfully I managed to do it. Inuyasha seemed very pleased with my progress as well so there's another plus.

Speaking of Inuyasha, he's been acting very nervously lately. It's almost as if he's afraid of something, but he won't tell me what. I did overhear him and Sesshomaru speaking last night, something about winter ending soon. I'm unsure what is going on, but I'll figure it out soon before it makes Inuyasha a nervous wreck, I hope anyway.

That's all I can really think of, for now, nothing much has happened so far today. it makes me a little nervous if I may be honest. I'll bring it up to Sesshomaru, I'm sure I'm just overreacting.

Hana let out a gentle breath as she closed and locked her journal.

"We totally beat your ass haha!" Hana looked over hearing Inuyasha laugh loudly.

"Would you stop laughing at your brother he can barely walk." Shippō scolded Inuyasha. Hana put her things down and quickly rushed over.

"What happened?!" She asked as she inspected Sesshomaru seeing many wounds.

"I'm fine, Hana." He spoke calmly.

"Perfectly fine, huh?" Hana asked before helping Shippō guide Sesshomaru to sit where she was sitting a moment ago.

"Hey, at least we're getting better, huh?" Shippō asked jokingly.

"Hmm, you two have improved." Sesshomaru admitted making both Shippō and Inuyasha freeze for a moment, surprised by Sesshomaru's words. Hana moved his kimono to see his wounds better before she started to heal him causing Sesshomaru to relax at the warmth of her magic.

"Ah, just in time. Do you think you boys can help me for a moment?" The group looked over to see Eiko.

"What's up?" Shippō asked.

"We need some more firewood, the winter has been harsh this year."

"I and Shippō will handle it, take a rest ol' man." Inuyasha teased earning a rather loud snarl from Sesshomaru, loud enough to make Hana jump a little and her magic to waver.

"Ok let's not piss off your brother?" Shippō asked.

'He scared her.' The beast snarl within Inuyasha.

"C'mon." Inuyasha simply said walking off, Shippō hurried after him to give him a hand.

'Are you seriously just leaving her with him?!'

'Would you shut it? He snarled at me not her.'

'So, you trust him?'

'I do now shut the hell up.' 

"There, good as new." Hana said with a gentle smile. Sesshomaru readjusted his kimono before putting his armor back on.

"Umm, Sesshomaru, if you have a moment can we talk?" He glanced up at her.

"What troubles you?" He asked. Hana moved her things so she could sit next to him.

"It's just, oddly quiet lately." She said before brushing her hair off her shoulder.

"Elaborate." Sesshomaru spoke softly.

"Well, I mean, I know most of the rush and worry was due to Inuyasha at the time, but don't you think Naraku would have made an advancement by now? I mean, letting Inuyasha do his dirty work kinda failed, so what's his plan b?" Hana asked as she looked up at Sesshomaru. He thought for a moment before looking ahead.

"I see the same thoughts burden you." He muttered softly.

"As they do I." Hana and Sesshomaru looked to see Myōga standing on Sesshomaru's leg.

"I see, I'm glad I'm not overthinking this." Hana admitted with a nervous giggle.

"Though, what on earth could he be waiting for?"

"I am uns-" Sesshomaru began to speak, that was until a large tremor could easily be felt.

"What the hell?!" Hana yelled as she quickly looked around.

"I just had to say something, didn't I?" Sesshomaru whistled summoning A-Un.

"Get on, both of you." He said quickly placing Myōga on Hana's shoulder as she boarded A-Un.

"What the hell is happening?!" They looked to see Inuyasha, Shippō, and Eiko.

"Not sure." Sesshomaru said before flying up and scanning the area.

"West!" He called before rushing off.

"Inuyasha, come on!" Hana called so Inuyasha ran over jumping on A-Un while Shippō used his flames to carry himself and Eiko. They followed Sesshomaru close by though when Shippō found a safe place to drop off Eiko he separated for a few moments before quickly catching up.

"Hana!" Hana looked to see Aia, Kaito, and Kaida riding Kirara. They flew beside Hana, Inuyasha, and A-Un.

"Do you know what's going on?" Hana asked.

"Several yōkai are invading the village, but something's off about them." Kaito said in a deep, serious tone.

"They're scary!" Kaida said making Shippō quickly look over.

"Kaida?" He asked just now realizing his daughter was there.

"Hi Papa!~" She chirped with a bright smile. Suddenly, Inuyasha let out a loud snarl making Hana jump out of her skin and look back at him.

"Inuyasha?" She asked.

"You smell him too." Sesshomaru spoke up in a dark tone before stopping, then his claws started glowing as he shot his light whip at the floor below knocking what could have been twenty yōkai back.

"Shit, I was hoping I was wrong. Let's go!" Shippō said before diving down, Sesshomaru soon following. Before Inuyasha could jump down, Hana stopped him.

"We'll need you up here." She said making him look where she was, many yōkai flew towards them.

"Damn it." He whispered before standing up.

"Heads down!" He yelled making A-Un and Hana duck down. He swung summoning wind scar, it killed a large chunk of the flock.

"Let's do this!" Aia said before throwing the Hiraikotsu at the flock. Kaito threw many sacred sutras as Aia's Hiraikotsu came back, then Kirara charged forward.

"It's our turn!" Hana called as she flicked A-Un reins making them fly forward as Inuyasha knelt down once more. Hana tied the reins around her ankle as she stood up aiming her bow.

'We can't let them destroy the village!'
