~Chapter 40~

"Pleasure meeting our empress, your grace.~" Yōki spoke in a sinister, taunting tone making Sesshomaru growl ever so softly. Sesshomaru's mother slowly stood and walked close to Inuyasha making Hana send a quick glare Yōki who ignored her glare.

"I see, so he somehow made you just to be a full-blood." She muttered making Yōki scoff.

"Bold of you to assume this dimwad could conjure something as great as I." He said with a pride-filled smirk.

"Umm, Yōki." Hana spoke up making his gaze land on her.

"Naraku made you... so that was kinda a compliment to him." She muttered with a slightly confused look.

"He did not make me, Kichōna, the Shikon no Tama did." He explained in a gentle tone.

"Kichōna?" Sesshomaru's mother asked, a little surprised by the beast's words. Yōki looked back at Sesshomaru's mother.

"Why do you call her so?" His mother asked making Yōki eyes narrow.

"She is mine, that is why." He said in a territorial tone.

"Wait, who said?" Hana asked crossing her arms. Yōki looked over, then grinned with an odd glimmer in his eye.

"Oh, Kichōna, your question humors me." He teased before leaning close to her, yet Hana didn't budge.

"Like now, you accept me, you don't push me away." His hand then trailed down her side to her hip. Sesshomaru was tempted to speak up, but he remembered Hana's words and decided to stay quiet and simply watch.

"That is me being polite, not telling you I am yours. If anything, don't I own you due to the fact I control you?" Hana asked returning the smug look making Yōki give a surprised look, then yet another smug look.

"Own me?" He asked before giving a soft chuckle. Sesshomaru's mother eyed Sesshomaru who merely shook his head as they both watched carefully. It seemed that Sesshomaru's mother was just as curious as Sesshomaru was.

"Go ahead, Kichōna. Use me, break me, beat me down and bring me back again, I care not for that will never change the pure divine beauty that seeps from your very being." He growled as he leaned close to Hana's ear. However, before he could say more, Kaida gasped with a star-struck look in her eye making even Yōki glance back.

"You're in love with her!~" She said in a wonder-filled tone. Yōki slowly grew a grin as he closed his eyes.

"You're a smart little kit, aren't you?" He said in a soft tone.

"I knew it!" Kaida chirped. Hana's face soon grew hot surprised by Yōki's confirmation to Kaida's guess.

"You want her for nothing more than your lustful greed." Sesshomaru finally spoke up. Instantly, Yōki snarled loudly baring his fangs at Sesshomaru.

"Do not speak as though you know my wants!" He snapped. Hana panicked for a moment before quickly clicking her fingers making Yōki tense for a moment, then glance back.

"Down, now." She spoke sternly. Yōki hesitated, but, as the beads glowed around his neck he did as told closing his eyes as he carefully fell to his knee formally. Sesshomaru's mother's eyes grew wide at this. Did this human really make a beast submit to her? Hana walked over and knelt beside Yōki putting a hand on his shoulder.

"What did I tell you to do?" She asked sternly making him look over, but he only stayed silent.

"Well?" Hana asked in a sterner tone than a moment ago. He sighed closing his eyes again feeling embarrassed by her doing this in front of two powerful beings who were now watching like hawks.

"To behave." He muttered.

"Was that behaving?" Hana asked.

"I didn't hurt him." Yōki said rolling his eyes.

"You need to watch your mouth and tone too!" Hana snapped. Yōki let out a heavy breath.

"That's boring." He simply said. Hana stared for a moment before smirking softly.

"How about I throw something else in the deal?" Yōki glanced over, a curious twinkle in his eye.

"Behave and I'll let you stay until day's end, and I'll throw a little something else in there." Yōki raised a brow at Hana before leaning over with a mischievous grin.

"What is this little something, hmm?~" He asked.

"Be good and you'll find out." She said before booping his nose teasingly making him flinch a little, then sigh.

"I suppose I can bite my tongue." He grumbled. Hana smiled.

"Good boy.~" She cooed petting him gently. Yōki felt an odd euphoria from this making him close his eyes and lean into her touch, he felt very pleased and wouldn't mind just remaining like this. However, Hana pulled away and stood up.

"Ahem, s-sorry about that.~" She chirped nervously. Sesshomaru's mother fell silent before taking a few steps forward and gently placing a couple of fingers under Hana's chin tilting her head up to meet her gaze.

"How interesting. A mere human?" She whispered.

"She is a Miko." Sesshomaru corrected.

"Even so, it's a wonder how she has a beast under her thumb like it's nothing." Hana thought for a moment then cleared her throat once more before turning to look at Yōki.

"How about you catch everyone up on why we wanted to know of Hahanaru Shizen?" She asked trying to change the subject. Yōki let out a gentle breath before standing once more.

"Fine."
