~Chapter 17~

"History always repeats.~" Those words stung both Inuyasha and Hana. Hana looked down before glancing at her jacket pocket remembering the pocket knife she had stolen from her father, her mother used it when they went camping. She slowly reached her other hand to the pocket making sure he didn't see.

"She isn't like them!" Aia yelled. Hana's heart fluttered a little before gripping the knife.

"Sorry to inform you that history doesn't always repeat, I would know." She looked up with a sly grin making Muchiuchi's eyes widen a little.

"I'm your future." She quickly swung as she clicked the pocket knife out cutting his arm making him let her go as he hissed in pain. She ran back to the group who quickly took this opening and attacked all at once aiming right at him. There was a large explosion which Sesshomaru blocked from Aia, Shippō blocked from Kaito, and Inuyasha blocked from Hana holding her close. When it calmed down we looked only to have another gust of wind blow, then he was standing there with giant wings as he just simply smiled.

"Wait, that wasn't a cape, he had wings?" Hana said looking at him as he started to chuckle.

"Yes love.~" She cringed before grabbing her bow off the ground loading it and aiming it at him. She didn't give him a chance to react before shooting it at him with all the force she could manage, but he only grinned before a small group of butterflies surrounded it, then in a blink of an eye she felt a sharp pain in her shoulder making her freeze with wide eyes.

"Hana!" Aia yelled rushing to her side, Hana looked to see the arrow was embedded into her shoulder. Inuyasha's gaze snapped only for his eyes to widen, the smell of her blood filling his nose.

'Kill him.' His beast growled making him tense.

"Are you ok?!" Kaito asked rushing to her as well.

"That was a good aim love, I'll give you that, but I know that's not all the power you have." Muchiuchi mocked.

'Kill him!' His beast growled again.

"Careful careful, relax your arm, don't try and use it." Kaito said as Hana dropped her bow clutching her arm under the arrow. Muchiuchi laughed.

"Why fight it? Why say no to a powerful demon who'd give you anything you could ever want?" Muchiuchi questioned putting a hand over his heart with a crazed look in his eye.

"Kill him!!!" Inuyasha let out a beastly growl as he suddenly disappeared only to appear behind Muchiuchi and swing his large claws making Muchiuchi cough up blood, then grin, then turning grabbing Inuyasha's throat tightly.

"You thought you could kill me?" He laughed.

"As long as you have that pendant on, you're still nothing but a half breed ignoring his true nature.~" He mocked making Inuyasha growl and claw at his hand and arm. Sesshomaru charged at Muchiuchi full speed making him look up, raise his other hand. A gust of wind sent him flying back as a small swarm flew at him making a spear shape almost as they flew through Sesshomaru's chest making him cough up blood.

"Sesshomaru!" Aia called. Shippō quickly used his flame trying to get rid of the butterflies only for more to come flying around him, Aia, and Kaito leaving small cuts all around their body, soon they fell to their knees. Hana stared with wide eyes as tears fell from her eyes and down her face.

"Now love." Muchiuchi started making her look at him, he dropped Inuyasha who had fallen limp most likely from the lack of air.

"Let's go.~" He said holding his hand out to her, a hand over his heart again with that same crazed look in his eyes.

"No." Inuyasha choked out trying to sit up, a bright bruise forming around his neck.

"Shut up, you have no room talk half-breed." Muchiuchi growled looking back at him. Hana looked down at her bow before kneeling down picking it up with her good arm standing again. She then looked at the arrow in her shoulder, she put her bow in her other hand as she reached up grabbing it making her tense in pain. She then ripped it out of her shoulder making her whimper in pain gaining Muchiuchi's attention. She quickly aimed the arrow at him with tears still falling from her eyes, hatred filling them as she glared at him.

'Mama, I don't want to go with him, if you're here then help me!' She let the arrow go shooting it, a light lilac color engulfed it as it went full speed right into his chest. He stared at her with wide eyes and blood slowly trickled from his lip, then he smiled.

"That's your true power, I knew you had it love." He said softly as he fell to his knees, the arrow's glow grew brighter, then into a flame as he screamed out grabbing at his chest in pain. Sesshomaru sat up shakily as a flash of pink light came from his chest healing his wound. Aia, Kaito, and Shippō slowly got up looking at their small wounds before looking at Hana. Inuyasha finally managed to look up at Hana, her wound bled heavily as she looked at the screaming demon burning in the light pastel flames. Muchiuchi's screams slowly died down as he turned to ashes making Hana lower her arms relaxing a little. Inuyasha stood up rubbing his throat a little.

'Weak.' His beast growled making him growl lowly. Hana felt dizzy making her drop her bow and fall, but before she hit the ground someone caught her slowly falling to their own knees holding her close.

"Hana!" Aia and Kaito said rushing to her side kneeling down.

"Shit Inuyasha, are you-"

"I'm fine." The dog demon growled lowly as he looked at Hana who finally opened her eyes again. She turned her head a little looking at him, then his neck.

"You're hurt." She whispered making his ears fall. Shippō helped Sesshomaru up and made sure he could stand on his own before they walked over, A-Un laying down behind Inuyasha letting out a sad hiss.

"I'm fine." He said softly.

"Look, her hand!" Aia pointed out reaching over and grabbing it holding it up, the mark was slowly fading away until it was no more.

'Mark her.' Inuyasha stared at her hand.

'Mark her!'

'I can't.'

'Why not?!' His eyes stung as tears threatened to well, but he closed them burying his face into her hair.

'History always repeats. I can't let myself fall for her.'

'You already have Inuyasha.' Inuyasha slowly pressed his hand on her wound trying to stop the bleeding, moving Aia's hand in the prosses.

'I... I know.'

'Then why resist?!' He felt his hands start to tremble.

'History always repeats, so, I might as well get ready for it.' He pulled back a little seeing her eyes were closed, but her heartbeat was steady, she was sleeping.

'Until then.' Tears welled in his eyes.

'I'll do what I always do. Protect her until she seals me away for the next one.'

'You couldn't even protect her.' His jaw clenched.

'Then, I'll rip off the lock and use you if I have to.' 

'Tsk, really?' His beast said, voice full of sarcasm. A tear dripped onto her making the others look at him concerned.

'Anything to protect her.'

'Even if she does what the others did?' Inuyasha pulled her closer if possible.

'If that's the loop I'm stuck in, then it must be what I'm here for. So, so be it.' His beast went silent so Inuyasha closed his eyes taking in Hana's scent.

'Protect her until she seals me away for the next tone, what I always do.'
