~Their Salvation~

~Chapter 20~

"Hey Sesshy, Lady Eiko." Hana greeted the two after knocking and being let in. Sesshomaru only gave her a gentle glare before gently sighing.

"Good morning Hana." Eiko greeted with a smile. Hana walked over sitting beside Sesshomaru.

"So, what's this talk going to be about?" Hana asked. Eiko sighed softly.

"Kagome." Hana tensed.

"Should we have Kaida keep Inuyasha busy then?" 

"No, I and he already started this last night, briefly, but he knows." Hana's heart sank but she nodded. The room fell silent as Eiko was boiling water for some herbal tea, Hana, on the other hand, was glancing at Sesshomaru here and there. She then carefully brought her hand over and gently petting his Mokomoko-san making him glance over at her.

'So soft.' She thought with wonder in her eyes.

'Geez, is it a dog demon thing to have such soft hair- uh, fur?' She thought before petting it some more. Sesshomaru watched her for a few seconds before closing his eyes going back to his thoughts.

'She's like a child.' He thought to himself. Moments later there was a knock at the door.

"Come in!" Eiko called. Kaito, Aia, and Kirara walked in first, then Inuyasha with Kaida sitting on his head holding his ears, then Shippō.

"Haha go my steed!~" Kaida said making me snicker.

"Not so scared of him now, are ya?" Shippō asked teasingly. Aia and Kaito sat next to Eiko as Inuyasha sat down being careful to not drop the small kitsune while Shippō sat beside Kirara giving her a gentle pet.

"No way, if he has the energy and patience to put up with me then he must be trustworthy!" She said giggling before hopping off his head into his lap where he gently held her. Hana smiled before gently leaning her hand on his shoulder making him look down at her.

"Now, you all are here, we need to talk." Eiko said before she handed out some tea to whoever wanted it. Hana gladly took a cup taking a sip with a smile. After that, she grabbed Sesshomaru's Mokomoko-san placing it in her lap before bringing her knees closer to her chest pretty much hugging it.

"Ok, ready." She said making Aia snicker a little before clearing her throat with a serious look which almost made Kaito lose it. Sesshomaru gave Hana a questioning glance but decided to stay quiet once again.

"We need to figure out what happened all those years ago." Eiko started.

"U-Um, not to interrupt right away, but I still don't really know the full story." Kaito muttered, Aia nodding her head in agreement.

"That's why we're going to tell you." Sesshomaru explained calmly, Shippō now being the one to nod in agreement.

"Oohh storytime!~" Kaida said getting comfy with a smile.

"It's been five hundred years now, a thousand for you Hana." Sesshomaru started making Hana nod.

"Five hundred years ago, we defeated Naraku after a long trial of near-death experiences. Kagome used her sacred arrow for the final shot, it pierces his heart where the corrupted Shikon no Tama, but something went wrong the last second." He explained. Kaida listened closely as she slowly reached into her pocket in her outfit pulling out what looked to be nuts, then she slowly popped one in her mouth. Inuyasha glanced down at her so she looked up and held one up, he hesitated but took it and popped it into his mouth before looking back at Sesshomaru as Kaida smiled looking back at him as well.

"Hana, do you remember what Kagome wrote in the book you found in her room in your time?" Sesshomaru asked before continuing.

"How could I not, the writing was so rushed and scribbled, it was kinda creepy to read because I thought she wrote it moments before her death." She muttered deciding to let Sesshomaru's Mokomoko-san go before shifting a little clearing her throat.
