~Their Salvation~

~Chapter 21~

"Kick my ass huh?" Sesshomaru taunted. Inuyasha and Shippō were flat on their backs with several injuries, but not enough to cause to much harm to them.

"Fuck off." Inuyasha breathed out before forcing himself to sit up while Shippō just laid there. Inuyasha looked over raising a brow.

"You ok?" He asked. Shippō slowly lifted up a hand and gave him a thumbs up making Inuyasha snicker. Inuyasha stood up walking over and grabbed Shippō's hand pulling him up and onto his feet.

"I have one arm, it was two versus one, you guys are weak." Sesshomaru taunted again making them both glare.

"Shut it." They both growled. Sesshomaru simply tsked before walking off back to the village so the two decided to follow. When they were back they saw Aia, Kaito, and Kirara coming back as well.

"Finished training too?" Shippō asked skipping over to go socialize. Inuyasha's scanned the village as his inner demon craved to see Hana again and was starting to annoy him.

"Hana most likely is in Eiko's hut." Sesshomaru muttered before walking off to do whatever it was he wanted to do. Inuyasha started to her hut as his mind slowly wandered, that was until he felt a tiny tug on his sleeve. He looked down to see a couple of the village children looking up at him. He tilted his head a little so the little girl held up what she was holding, it was a blue bellflower.

"For you." She said softly, the little boy next to her, who looked younger, nodded as he held into her kimono. Inuyasha couldn't help the gentle smile that tugged at his lips as he knelt down gently taking the flower.

"Thank you." He said with a smile. The two children smiled back.

"You're welcome!" They then ran off waving goodbye to Inuyasha. Inuyasha stood back up and started walking again, but now he was sniffing the flower. Once he got to the hut he could see the door was cracked open, so being the childish dog demon he is, he decided to peek in.

"You need to relax Hana." Eiko said making Hana sigh.

"It's kinda hard to. I guess it's just, I just realized how much might be relied on me, I don't want to mess up." Inuyasha frowned hearing Hana's fears.

"What is your main focus then, Hana?" Eiko asked. Hana hesitated but sighed pulling her knees to her chest.

"I don't want to end up like Kagome or Kikyō. I don't really know if he remembers what happened before being brought back to his senses but I told him he could trust me, I don't want to break that now I finally got it." Inuyasha's ears pinned down and his chest coiled.

'Comfort her.' His demon commanded, and for once he agreed. He gently knocked on the door gaining the two's attention.

"Come in." Eiko said so Inuyasha gently pushed the door open, then closed it behind him.

"Ah, done with training for the day?" Eiko asked as Inuyasha walked over and standing beside Hana.

"Yeah." He muttered. Eiko glanced out the window before looking back at Hana.

"It grows late, you should go rest." She said with a smile. Hana nodded before standing up, she looked a little shaky.

'She is weak.' His demon growled, obviously not happy with Eiko for taking it 'to far.' Hana looked up at Inuyasha with a gentle smile.

"You must be tired." She said. He felt his face gently start to warm.

"You must be too." He said.

"I guess I am haha." She said with a weak laugh, then she turned to Eiko.

"Goodnight, lady Eiko." She said with a smile.
