17- "Your password is Ethan123?"

Kian was one of Ethan's and Leo's best friends and they are all really close. They were childhood friends or something like that.

Kian and I became friends about 6 months back and the first time we saw each other was around 4 months back when Zoe, Mia, Ethan, Leo, and I all went on a trip to Texas to meet with some school friends. It was kind of like a school reunion.

He had short, brown, hair, was around 5'8, and had such beautiful, blue eyes and a sharp jawline that could cut butter. So not exaggerating.

He had gapped teeth and trust me, it's super cute. Also, he sounds so good when he sings. He has such a unique voice. Almost like an angel.

We met at a club. I remember, very vividly, that he was wearing a black hoodie, blue ripped jeans, a cap, and Timberlands. Super attractive. It'd only been a few minutes since we had started talking and we both instantly hit off.

We joked around like idiots and took funny pictures, which we don't plan on showing anybody. It was sort of like "our thing."

We talked for a really long time and ever since then, we kept texting each other whenever we were free. I must admit though, I did have a crush on him for a week or something and from Leo, I found out that he had a crush on me too! But we were only destined to be best friends. If that's how it's supposed to be, so be it.

I opened my Snapchat to see this.

I smiled and looked at the picture longer than I should have and quickly send back a snap.

Dani was a nickname for Kian.

He told me that when he was little he used to have an imaginary friend who called him "Dani." And ever since then, he's never heard the end of it.

Leo was driving while I was sitting nearby and the others were behind.

"Ava why you taking a picture now? Wasn't the picture that Leo took enough for you to last a whole month?" Zoe teased.

"Ah no Kian just sent a snap so I replied," I explained.

"KIAN?!" Ethan asked.

"Uh yes. Kian. Why are you getting so excited? You like him or something? I knew you had a thing for him when I saw that Kian was your wallpaper." I joked.

"Little did you know Ava, I already like someone else." Ethan looked at me and winked.

I blushed and looked away.

"But like, how did you know Kian was my wallpaper?" Ethan asked.

I laughed and replied, " Last week you gave me your phone when you went to pee at the movie theatre. Remember? And I thought I'd stalk your phone but it obviously had a password. That's when I saw your wallpaper. And Ethan why the fudge is your password so easy to crack?!"

"Oh yeah? It's not even that easy! You're just cocky because you attended some hacking program last summer." Ethan defended.

"Hey I might have taken that class but it doesn't take Einstein's brain to figure out your password is Ethan123," I argued back.

"Your password is Ethan123?!" Leo exclaimed.

"Even a 2-year-old can figure out that pass." He continued.

"Shh Ava! You weren't supposed to say that out loud!" Ethan whisper-shouted.

"Yeah like nobody is going to figure it out soon enough," I smirked.

"Hey, Ava you know what? Throw yourself out of the car now." Ethan snapped

"Ethan, I hate to say this, but the only thing I want to throw out from the car is my feelings for you," I reply and go on about minding my own business.

"Burn, Ethan!" Leo exclaims.

I can see that Ethan's hurt by what I just said, but I don't bother. He already knows I'm kidding.

For the next few seconds, the car was silent and NF's "Lost in the moment" was playing on the stereo.

And then out of nowhere, Mia starts rambling.

"Are you guys even dating? It's like nothing has changed between you guys. I expected you'd be all lovey-dovey and touchy. I was expecting you to sit in the backseat with Ethan and do nasty things but you ended up sitting in the front seat. Like what? Aren't you even going to hold his hand?"

I turned back to look at Ethan and we both smiled. More like a smirk. We both knew that though we say mean things or that we don't throw ourselves into each other, we loved each other with all our hearts.
