Chapter 37
It was the 19th of March, 4 days since we arrived in South Korea and one day left for our auditions.
Luckily, there were plenty of empty dance studios in the building so we didn't have to rent one. Zoe, Mia, and I are now at the studio, practicing our group dance and our solo performances.
Fun fact, it's the same dance studio where the guys shot their 'We are bulletproof pt2 ', 'No more dream', and other dance practice videos. Cool, I know.
BTS couldn't make it because they had a meet and greet to attend in Incheon. It was now 5:17 pm but we weren't going to head back to our rooms just yet.
Tomorrow is the big day and we had to make sure everything, and I mean everything had to be perfect. We probably practiced the routine fifty times from morning.
We decided to take a break for half an hour before continuing and planned to leave by 7:30 pm. After the practice, we were going to get dinner and then some rest.
According to the manager, we had to drive to a different destination where the auditions were going to be conducted because this building didn't have enough room. We have to be there by 9 am, he said.
"Hey, look at this!" Mia excitedly said as she made her way to Zoe and me who were just laying dead on the floor. It had been 10 minutes since we started the break and I was still panting. Talk about being fit.
She turns the phone towards us. It was a 4-page article about the audition tomorrow. They had details like the date, time, the process, what to bring, and other stuff that we already knew because we literally lived with the manager. So any news, any gossip, we would know before it was on the news.
I read the article again just in case we had missed something. Just as I was about to give Mia's phone back to her, my finger sort of slipped and somehow the next news article was up.
I raise my eyebrows and my heart suddenly starts to beat faster. My body felt uncomfortably warm and my hands got sweaty.
It was a picture of Tae and a fangirl, being touchy. He was poking her cheeks with his index finger, all while smiling brightly like she's the love of his life.
Oh, and she was holding his other hand too. Since when was a meet and greet synonymous with skinship?
"Ahem," I hear Zoe clear her throat and immediately come to my senses and give Mia's phone back to her and lay down on the wooden floor again.
I cover my eyes with my left forearm and place my right hand on my stomach. I let out a huge sigh.
"This usually happens during a meet and greet. Don't think much of it. It was probably nothing." Zoe says, and I raise my arm and turn my head to look at her. "Yeah, I know," I reply like it didn't bother me at all.
"Didn't look like you knew," she carelessly shrugs and walks to the mini refrigerator to get some soda. I roll over to the stomach. "Fuck you, Tae," I mutter and stand up. I walk to the huge mirror and crack my neck and stretch my limbs.
I point at myself in the mirror and mumble. "What are you becoming? It shouldn't matter to you even if Tae kisses that girl. You like Ethan. Only Ethan. You can't let all this make you jealous. She's just another fangirl. Like you. You can't blame her for holding his hand. You've wanted to hold his hand before too. It's totally normal. Stuff like this happens all the time. As Zoe said, it was probably nothing." I stop and look at myself in the mirror.
And then, I cringe. I cringe so hard that I didn't even look like myself anymore.
What the hell am I doing?
