Chapter 64

The alarm goes off and I open my eyes slowly. I don't bother turning it off and just lie there looking at the ceiling for a minute before getting up.

For a few seconds, everything goes blank. And then it all comes back.

Samara and Jimin telling me Taehyung might actually have a thing for me, the win, the Jeju Island trip, going to Taehyung's place. I completely disregard any bad thoughts relating to last night.

I check the time. 5:04 am. I set an early alarm last night before going to sleep because I still haven't packed anything. It shouldn't take much time, considering that we're going on this trip for 2 days.

Three days actually but today doesn't count because we have to go to this meeting. It's been a while since we all sat down and had a company meeting. We used to do this often when we were trainees but now, not so much.

Our CEO, the Head Manager, Haejin and Sejin, BTS, and we are supposed to attend the meeting. Not exactly sure what it's going to be about.

UniT is going to have a comeback in 4 months, so it's too soon to have a meeting about that. BTS is having their huge comeback by the end of next year so it can't be about that either.

For some reason, I can't stop smiling. For once everything in life is going the way I want it to. I immediately knock on wood. Can't jinx things now, can we?

I lazily roll across my bed and slowly put my legs on the floor and drag myself to the bathroom.

After doing all my business there, I put on my workout clothes, grab my phone and earphones, and head to the gym that we have in the building.

I tie my hair up in a tight pony so it wouldn't be of any nuisance. The gym's open almost all the time and nobody ever locks it because we have a habit of going whenever we feel like it.

Before even opening the door, I know someone's in there because I can see light from the bottom of the door through a small slit.

"Hey," I walk to the treadmill to get some cardio workout. Jungkook doesn't notice me because he has his earphones on.

He's not facing the mirror either. I don't bother going up to him and waving because I see him all the damn time.

He's wearing black shorts and a sleeveless grey tee. We're actually sort of matching. I'm wearing black tights and a grey sleeveless tee too.  I don't know why I felt the need to tell you that.

Jungkook realized my presence after ten minutes. He waves at me and we continued doing our thing. We both don't like interruptions during our gym time, you know?

After cardio, I go on do to some ab workouts and then some stretching. Halfway through my stretches, Jungkook finishes his workout.

"When did you come?" I ask as stretch my hamstrings. "Around 3," He bends and picks up his water bottle.

It's almost seven. So that makes it four hours-ish. That's less than usual for Jungkook.

"Did you get any sleep last night?" I already know the answer to that. His dark circles are evident and his eyes are red.

He shakes his head and walks towards me. I get on all fours to do some fire hydrants and he pushes me.

"What was that for?" I laugh and again get back on all fours. He simply shrugs and lays down as I exercise. "I was tired but I couldn't get any sleep," He says without me even asking him.

"Why?" My thighs are burning. "Don't know," He shakes his head.

"What did you end up doing?" My thighs are burning even more leading me to scrunch my face in pain.
