Chapter 39

"You have no idea how pretty she is. If you see her, you'll immediately start drooling. I think I'm gay for her, hands down. She's the prettiest girl I've ever seen." I rant as I sip my coffee.

He continues looking at me without any emotion.

"Hello? Are you listening?" I ask and wave my hands in front of his face.

He snaps out of his trance and blinks a couple of times like he's trying to figure out what is going on.

"Yeah, I was. Selena Kim, huh?" He asks, his voice filled with uncertainty.

"It's Samara." I sigh. "What's up with you?"

"I'm just tired. I didn't get a lot of sleep last night." He says in a low voice. "Is everything else okay?" I ask as I take the final gulp of the coffee.

"Yeah, don't worry about it. What are your plans today? You don't have anything to do for a couple more days." He replies as I place the mug in the sink.

"The girls and I don't speak any Korean. It's going to be a disaster if we go out alone." I chuckle as I start doing the dishes. "I should start learning some, now that I come to think of it."

Mia and Zoe were playing video games the entire day and I just slept. After coming back yesterday evening, the guys had practice so Tae and I couldn't hang out.

I ended up watching movies the entire night and slept through the day. The guys were done just a few hours ago after which Tae came over, which brings me back to the current situation.

He puts on some gloves and starts doing the dishes too. "Uh, what do you think you're doing?" I ask him.

"So now you're blind?" Tae says and continues cleaning the metal plates.

I click my tongue and reply, "No, you're not doing the dishes. I'm going to finish doing them, meanwhile, you go over to the living room and watch a movie. I'll come after finishing up some stuff here." I remove his gloves and push him out of the kitchen. He mutters something but I don't pay attention to him.

A few minutes later he asks from the living room, "The Act of Killing or The Cabin in the Woods?"

My eyes widen with horror. "Uh, neither?" I yell.

"Alright alright," He chuckles. "How about 13 going on 30? Or Sleeping with other people? Or A Walk to Remember?

"Neither," I yell again. "What the hell? Do you want to watch Tom and Jerry or something?"

"Yes, that's perfect. I'll come in 10 minutes." I reply while putting the plates back to its place. "You there?" I ask out loud when I hear no response.

"Tae?" I yell, a little louder. I turn my head to look at the living room when I see him leaning on the wall at the entrance of the kitchen.

His arms are crossed over on his chest with his eyes showing a hint of irritation.

"I like Tom and Jerry," I innocently say.

He giggles. "Tom and Jerry it is then."

I nod and smile slightly and go back to finishing more chores. Just as I'm done, my phone goes off. I grab my phone from the table to look at Oli's message.

I lean against the counter and text him for around 15 minutes. Apparently, Ethan has been hanging out with Oli and Leo frequently these days and has been considering an acting degree.

This was a little odd because when I asked him about college a few days ago, he didn't mention anything.

I also told Oli that Kian hasn't talked to me in 3 weeks but he said Kian will eventually come around and he'll soon understand that Kate wasn't the girl for him.
