Chapter 47

It's been a couple of days since the MV of both our groups were released and the other team's MV as good as ours, if not better.

I can say it's going to be a difficult decision but I really hoped Mia, Zoe and I would get selected.

Today is the day of selection, meaning they'll check the number of views, comments, who the comment is about, and who is more popular in general.

I kept refreshing the youtube page. My team has 7.8 million views and 16.4K comments. The other team has 7.7 million views and 16.5K comments.

It's been a while since the ten of us hung out because we've all been busy with our own stuff. We'd run into each other a couple of times or we'll just talk on the phone. Occasionally, I'd go spend the night in Suga's and Jin's room.

People assume Suga is a cold person because of the way he acts in front of the camera. If only they spent a few hours with him, they'll say otherwise. When you really connect with Suga, he's a different person.

Yes, he doesn't let his guard down easily because that's just how he is. You can have fun with him without having his guard let down too. I mean, after looking at this how can you say he's cold, come on!

There were a few nights where Jin, Suga, and I would pull an all-nighter and just talk about life.

It might sound boring but nothing's boring when you're doing it with the right people, you know? Underrated opinion but late-night talks with your best friends are lowkey therapy.

Initially, I was more close to the younger ones of the group and sort of stayed away from the older guys mainly because I thought they'll take no interest in talking to me. But when I started talking to them I realized that they were just like me, if not more fun.

While watching videos of them when I was nothing but a fellow ARMY, I thought that these guys were living their best life and had no problems at all. Now I can confidently say that they have different kinds of problems that are harder to deal with.

During one of their meetings, a few days ago, I was sitting in the corner of the room, using my phone and minding my business when suddenly Tae raised his voice at Jimin.

Jimin got annoyed at Tae because he wasn't giving him respect. So, Jimin yelled back at Tae, who in turn threw a stash of papers on Jimin's face. The room fell silent and I watched the scene with a worried expression.

Jungkook was looking at his hyungs with terrified but innocent eyes, Suga and Jin buried their faces in their hands while Jhope rubbed his temple.

I wanted to try and interfere but when I got up, Jungkook shook his head at me, signaling to stay away. I slouched back in my seat. Namjoon asked them both to get out and not enter until they figured it out.

I didn't exactly know what they were fighting about because they were arguing in Korean, only to find out later that it was something about the choreography.

And all this explains why right now, Tae and Jimin are sitting in two corners of the room, refusing to make eye contact. I tried making them talk but it didn't work.

It's a Sunday and surprisingly the boys have a day off. We're all in the dance room reading the comments.

Suga, Tae, Jhope and I are on the couch, Jimin and Mia are leaning against the mirror while Namjoon, Kook, Zoe, and Jin are all lounged on the floor. I'm on the extreme left, Suga to my right, Jhope to his right and Tae on the extreme right.

"Girls hit your hallelujah, whoo, cause uptown funk gon' give it to you, Saturday night, and we in the spot," I sing to Uptown Funk. "Don't believe me just watch," Suga joins in as he's still preoccupied with his phone. I chuckle as he sings.

"They're both at 8 million views," Namjoon says. I look at Zoe and Kook who're both laying down on their stomachs, with their elbows perched to support their torso.

They're playing temple run on the phone, and when Zoe beat Kook's score, he playfully puts his arm around her and strangles her. Zoe squeals in surprise and tries to remove his grip.

When she realized it wasn't possible to outdo him, she bites hard into his wrist and he winces his pain, leading him to remove his hand from her neck.

Zoe laughs in victory and rolls over on her back. She almost dies laughing and clutches her stomach. Kook straddles her in between his legs and tickles her. Zoe starts laughing even more and manages to crack us up too.

They finally stop and the room goes back to how it was earlier. I look at Kook from the corner of my eye. He's slightly smiling as he looks at his phone.

If these two right here aren't adorable, I don't know who is. Kook raises his head to look at me. I playfully wiggle my eyebrows and his cheeks flush. He pouts before looking away.

There's nothing to do on my phone so I lock it and put it down. I put my legs on the couch, cross them, and lay my head on Suga's shoulder. He puts his left arm around my shoulder and continues scrolling through his twitter.

I turn my head to look at what Mia and Jimin are doing. They're both huddled together and watching something on their phones, their heads slightly touching. Not going to lie, I was pretty jealous.

Kook and Zoe and Jimin and Mia are spending so much time together while Tae and I barely even say hi. It's not that we purposefully avoided each other.

We somehow never got the opportunity to have a real conversation after that bathroom situation we had a few days earlier. I sadly sigh, looking at the polished brown floor.

"Ava, look at this!" Tae animatedly exclaims as he shows me his phone from the other end of the couch.

"A new League of Legends update?" I scream and look at him as he walks to me.

"Hyung, scoot over," He tells Suga who obediently slides away. Tae plops next to me and moves a little closer. I feel my cheeks heat up.

"Here," He points at the screen and I read all the new features of the game. "I'm going to beat you, no matter what," I proudly say.

"Please," He rolls his eyes and pinches my arm.

"Stop hitting me!" I yell and pinch his thigh.

"You stop!" He yells back, rubbing his thigh.

"You started it!" I push him to Suga who groans.

Tae gives me a death glare and I stick my tongue out. "You're so dead when you come to my room," His lips brush against my ear as he whispers.

I immediately get goosebumps accompanied by chills running up and down my spine.
