Chapter 29
I pull up the car on the driveway. I don't bother turning off the engine and quickly get down. I run to the door and bang it as hard as possible.
Bang bang bang
Bang bang bang
No response. I bang the door harder and harder until I hear someone open the door. I really hoped it was Ethan.
I let out a huge breath when I saw him standing near the door.
"Ethan," I call, with my tone laced with sadness and regret.
"Don't bother Ava." He sounds lifeless. He looks pale, his cheeks were sunken. He looked so much thinner and his collar bone peeped from his skin.
I couldn't bear seeing him like this. Before saying a word, he turned and walked away.
"Ethan!" I call after him. I remove my shoes and follow him inside. I grab his wrist and face him to me. He looked so sad and my heart hurt looking at him this way.
It hurt more because it was because of me that he was in this state. "Please just listen to me."
He continues to look at me with no emotions. "Zoe just told me about everything. And I'm so sorry that you had to see me sleeping with Tae. I didn't mean to do it on purpose. There wasn't much space left so we had to adjust. Ethan, I would never do that to you."
He looks at me for a few more seconds before pulling me into a tight hug. "I'm so sorry Ava. I didn't trust you. I was just jealous and angry and I wanted to get back at you."
"That's okay baby, that's okay." I smile and hug him tighter. We stay like that for a few more seconds. When I pull away from him, I see that his eyes were teary. I lean over and kiss him. He looks into my eyes and smiles at me.
Boy wasn't that cute.
"Okay tell me how I can make it up to you," I ask him. He thinks for a few seconds, and he starts smirking.
This is not going well.
"Maybe Ava," he says.
"Uh-huh." I play along.
"You can help me with,"
"With?" I ask with my eyebrows raised.
"Cleaning my car."
"Fuck you, Ethan," I roll my eyes.
"That's for another day princess," He jokes and pulls me to his garage. I shake my head and laugh.

"But they didn't have to kill Finch and it would have been a better ending if Markey and Finch got together and lived happily ever after," I dreamily respond, with my elbows on the kitchen counter.
We had just watched the movie, 'All the bright places' and by the end of the movie, I was bawling my eyes out.
"Yeah, but don't you think the movie, now has a long-lasting impression on you just because he died? And happily ever afters are not for everybody Ava," Ethan says with a shrug.
The way he said it made it look like they had more meaning, but I didn't give it much thought. "Alright, if that's what you say." I throw my hands up and open the refrigerator.
I take one look inside and give out a frustrated sigh. "There's nothing in here! How do you survive with no food?" I look at him. He looks up from his phone and replies, "I just order from Jeff's."
"No wonder you look so malnourished." I grab a few slices of pizza from the fridge.
"Hey, where'd you get that from?" His eyes light up and he runs towards me.
