You're Not Alone

Chapter 4

Lexa's POV

After yesterdays truth or dare game I wasn't in a really good mood. Althought I wasn't mad at Lincoln, it did hurt. Im glad that Clarke came to comfort me.
I woke up early this morning. Everyone was still asleep so I decided I will clean up the mess that we did. It wasn't the worst but it should be cleaned. I walked downstairs and started clening up. After that I made something to eat for everyone, especially pancakes. I placed the plate full of pancakes on the table and ate 2 of them. I went to check up if they were still asleep. Murphy and Wells didn't stay the night which was a bit dissapointing. I checked my phone. 3 missed calls and 2 messages from Anya.

Anya: Lexa where are you?
Anya: Lexa im worried call me now

I texted her back that Im okay and I wanted to stay the night.

„Morning."Clarke came downstairs streching her arms.
„Morning." I said turning to face her from couch.
„Smells good. Did you cook?" She asked surprised.
„I was bored so I thought I would make something."
She took a plate and sat down next to me.
„Are you okay? You seemed distant yesterday." She asked with concern.
„Yeah Im fine. I don't blame him."
„Do you wanna talk about it. Since everyone is asleep."
„It's a long story." I said hoping she would drop it.
„I have plenty of time." She said taking a bite.
„Okay then." I sighed and started.
„Before I started attending Arkadia High I was student in Polis. I had a girlfriend back there. Her name was Costia. She was always there for me when I needed her. Especially after my parents died 2 years ago. They went on a road trip for a weekend and never came back. Me and my brother stayed with Anya my moms friend. She promised to take care of us. Costia was all I needed back then. I know I could trust her. After a while we started arguing a lot and she told me something I thought I would never hear from her. She said that she was using me just all along and that she doesn't need me anymore. We basically just broke up. Days went by and I wasn't in the best shape. I wasn't eating or sleeping. I have the same dream every night since the day they died. I see car crashing, red and blue lights, blod everywhere. I wouldn't call it dream most likely a nightmare. Costia then started spreading lies about me and I just felt anxious around her. That's why Im here now with you guys."
I could feel my eyes watering. Clarke was just staring with open mouth looking at me. She hugged me what took me by surprise.
„Im so sorry Lexa. I didn't mean to bring a sensitive topic like that." She said with regret.
„It's okay. You have a right to know."
„We are friends Lexa. You can tell me anything." She smiled with her hand on my shoulder.
I didn't know if I was ready to be friends with anyone, to trust anyone. I was just stuck with them and knowing I needed their help.
„It's okay if you're not ready to trust someone Lexa." She said like she was reading my mind.
„It wasn't always like this you know. I used to be normal person, maybe scary and tough on the first sight but actually really friendly. Im not saying im not friendly now but I have trust issues." I said with saddness knowing that I wanted to get rid of it.
„I know. I lost my dad too. I know how you feel. But Octavia and the rest of them helped me through it. I know it maybe seems hard to trust us but I want you to know that you can. We're not gonna hurt you." She said and I knew that she understood.
„The worst we can do is kick that bitches ass."
I laughed and looked into her eyes. I couldn't stop staring at the ocean blue color. I was stuck in the moment.
„Lexa? Are you okay? Earth calls Lexa!" She waved her hand in front of my eyes.
„Sorry I zoned out." I said with embarrassement.
„I should probably get going." I said and stood up.
„Where?" She asked confused.
„I have a basketball pracitce."
„This early?"
„Clarke. It's 10 am." I laughed while looking at her.
„Too early for me."
She stood up and walked up to me and saying quick goodbye before I left.

Clarke's POV

I felt bad for Lexa after she told me why she acted like that. I understood how much Costia meant to her and when she needed her the most she broke up with her. If Raven and Octavia knew, she would be probably dead by now. I finished the pancake and washed the plate. They were actually really good. I forgot to tell Lexa. I sat on the couch watching random program in TV while I waited for everyone to get up. Soon enough I heard footsteps coming from upstairs. I saw Octavia, Raven and Harper heading downstairs following the smell of pancakes. They are probably cold by now.
„Morning Calrkie." Raven said while yawning. She immediately opened her eyes widely.
„Did you make these?" She said pointing at pancakes.
„No Lexa did."
„Where is she?" Octavia asled taking a bite.
„She had to leave because of basketball practice." I said with dissapointment. I actually wanted her to stay.
„This early?" Harper said annoyed.
„That's what I said."
They joined me on the couch while we were waiting for boys to get up. We watched some random movie that was playing. We were talking about what we are going to do today. We decided we could go to the mall and then for a lunch. We all agreed not caring if Bellamy and Lincoln would want to or not. We didn't care about Jasper and Monty because we knew they wouldn't come. They will probably play video games in Jasper's room all day. I stood up and washed the dishes.
„Woah. Did you clean up Clarke?" Octavia asked in confusion.
„Uhh no? Why?" I came to the living room looking around. Everything was on it's place like it was supposed to.
„Lexa did." I said surprised.
„She's never been here before and she cleaned up better than you guys ever did." Octavia said surprised looking around.
I smacked her arm and laughed.
Maybe about 10 minutes later we heard Bellamy and the others coming downstairs. They ate the rest of the pancakes and joined us. All of us took a shower after went to the mall.
