You're Not Alone

Chapter 8

Clarke's POV

I woke up at 5 am to pack all of my things to camp. Even tho it was saturday. I took a shower, got breakfast, brushed my teeth and packed.

Clarke📚: Are you ready guys?

Octavia🔥: clarke what the heck are you doing up so early

Clarke📚: you're up too

Octavia🔥: you woke me up

Lincoln🏋🏽‍♂️: ready

Clarke📚: see you in school

I wanted to text Lexa if she's ready so I did.

Clarke: hey are you ready for today?

Lexa: yeah what about you?

Clarke: yep all good

Lexa: see you there

It was 7 already so I put my stuff on backseat and started my car. I was waiting for others to come. First one to show up was Lincoln with Octavia and Bellamy, than Raven, Monty with Jasper, Harper and Murphy.
„Hey. Are you excited guys?" Raven asked.
„No doubt you are." Lincoln said.
„Have you seen Lexa?" I asked worried.
„No. She's not here? I thought she was." O said looking around for Lexa.
„Come on guys. Get in the bus!" Jaha yelled at us and we started putting our things in trunk.
I sat down alone, waiting for Lexa to come. She said she'll be here.
Octavia sat with Raven, Jasper with Monty, Harper with Murphy and Lincoln with Bellamy. We waited for a while to start our trip. Still no sign of Lexa.
„Clarke, she'll be here." Raven noticed I was worried and gave me a reassuring smile.
„Guys are we ready?" Jaha asked.
Everyone nodded.
„Okay we can-"
„Wait! Im so sorry Im late Mr. Jaha." Lexa ran to the bus almost out of breath. I just smiled in relief while she looked at me.
„It's okay. Sit down please."
She came over to me and sat down with smile.
„Im so sorry Clarke. I-" She tried to apologize again but I cut her off by putting my finger on her lips.
„It's fine. You made it." I looked behind me where Raven and O were sitting, both smirking and winking at me. I rolled my eyes and chuckled.

We took of the parking lot and drove to our destination.

„So how is that thing with Finn and you sorted out?" She whispered loud enough for just me to hear.
„I don't know I didn't tell her anything."
„Seems like Finn didn't as well." She said looking behind at smirking Raven.
We both chuckled and sat there in silence. After 15 minutes I looked at Lexa fast asleep. Seems like she didn't get much sleep last night. She was beutiful and so peaceful when she sleeps. As creepy as it sounds I could stare at her all day. Her hand was on the seat handle next to me. Octavia noticed and leaned closer to my ear and whispered.
„Now is your chance Clarke!"
„Octavia, no."
„Do it!" Raven whisper-yelled.
I looked back at Lexa's hand and moved my hand closer to hers. I slowly put my pinky finger over hers and then moved another fingers closer. Before I could realize it, her hand was now covered with mine.
I looked behind at Raven and Octavia with sparkles in their eyes and phones out.
„Don't you dare." I gave them stern look.
They looked at each other, smirked, raised their eyebrow and pressed photo button on their phones at the same time. I faceplamed and turned around.
We still had 2 hours in bus ahead of us. I fell asleep after few minutes.

Lexa's POV

I woke up amd felt a warm touch on my hand. I looked over and saw sleeping Clarke with her hand over mine. My mind had mixed feelings. Does she like me back or did she just do it because Rae told her so. I smiled at her. She was so cute not gonna lie. Just when I was about to intertwine our fingers she slowly opened her eyes. I quickly pulled my hand from under hers and looked away. It surprised her and kinda disappointed.
„Clarke I-"
„Im sorry. It's okay don't worry about it." She said with emotionless face but saddness in her voice. Rest of the way was silent.
