Chapter 53

Clarke's POV

You can do this Clarke. I believe in you.

I was talking to myself while I was trying to make myself breakfast. It were just toasts but I knew I could burn them easily.

„Woah. Look at you." I heard Lexa's voice. She was leaning against the door frame with two cups of coffee in her hands.

„Im so glad you're here." I sighed from reliev.
„Could you look after it for a minute? I need to go change. Thank you." I walked past her in a fast pace and gave her a kiss on cheek.

„Is Lexa here already?" Madi peaked from her room.
„Yeah she's just arrived." I answered and entered my room.

My closet was full of clothes yet I almost always chose things Lexa gave me. I was wearing dark green hoodie thath was a bit long and oversized because of Lexa's height and jeans.

„You look beautiful." Lexa said as soon as I entered the kitchen.
„You haven't even looked at me yet." I chuckled.
„Don't have to." She smiled.

How does she do this? How is she always so smooth?

My smile grew wider. I sat around the table and waited for my breakfast. When she finished she served the food and I kissed her cheek.

„Enjoy." She sat on the opposite side so she would see me. She was amiling at me the entire time it almost got creepy.

„What?" I raised my eyebrow.
„Nothing." Her smile grew even bigger.
„Tell me."
„What do you want me to say?" She smirked.
„Why are you smiling like a psycho all the time?" I joked.
„Psycho?" She pretened to be hurt.

„I don't have to smile at all." She said and put on her cold emotionless face. It was hot not gonna lie but it's a little scary at the same time. If I didn't know her and she would look at me like that I would literally shit my pants.

„How do you do that?"
„Do what?" Her voice showed no sign of emotions.
„That face."
„What face?"
„That one. You push aside all your emotions and your eyes are cold."
„Does it scare you?" She leaned closer to me across the table.
„Not at all." My cheeks were burning but I tried to play it cool.
„Good." She sat back and continued eating.

We dropped Madi off at school and went to ours. All of our friends were waiting at the parking lot.

„Griffin! Woods! Finally!" Octavia yelled when she saw me getting out of the car.
„Hey." I smiled and hugged her.
„Hi guys." I greeted all of them and so did they as well.
„Hey." She said with no emotion.
Everyone looked so confused. Lexa was like a ghost trapped inside a body. No emotion at all.

„The bell is ringing. We should get going." She said and walked away.
„What's up with her?" Bellamy asked.
„This morning I told her she was smiling like a psycho all the time and she's like this ever since." I said.
„But I know she's pretending." Is she?
„Let's go." Lincoln said and we went to our classes.

„What are you up to after school?" Raven asked us.
„No idea." Murphy said.
„Lincoln and I are going out for a date." Octavia answered.
„Jasper and I are gonna play video games." Monty said next.
„Probably just be home alone watching movies." Bellamy shrugged.
„Damn man that's depressing."
„You can come over." Bellamy smirked at Murphy.
„And that's gay." Jasper said.

„Clexa?" Octavia asked.
„I don't know. I'll probably just hang out with my Niylah." I said.
I noticed Lexa's eyes go up. Her eyes pierced right through me.

„I haven't seen her in a long time." Octavia said.
„Yeah. How is she?" Monty asked.
„I have no idea. That's why I wanna hang out and catch up with her." I smiled a little.

Lexa didn't say anything. She just looked at me like that for the whole time. She's been quiet this whole time. I regret saying she smiled like a psychopath.

The school's over. I have to wait for Lexa at her car.
I saw her approaching.
„Hey." I said.
„Hey." She pushed back a smile.
„Lexa wait." I grabbed her hand a turned her around. That look. It haven't left her face since morning.
„You know I was joking this morning right?"
„And?" She raised her eyebrows. Nothing's changed.
„Why are you like this this whole time?" I asked desperately.

She remained silent. A smile slowly appeared on her face and she started to laugh.
„I was just pretending. But I got you good." She laughed.
„Shut up you jerk!" I pushed her in her stomach.
„I was just joking babe. Come here." She pulled me closer and our noses touched.
„Im sorry." She kissed me slowly.
„But it was worth it." Smirk appeared on her face as soon as she pulled away.
„Oh shut it." I smiled.

„There's one more thing." She looked down at me again while her hands were on my waist and my hands were on her shoulders.
„What is it?"

„Who's Niylah?" She asked.
„She's my old friend. Octavia, Monty and I used to go to kinder garden with her."
„Are you really gonna go hang out with her today?"
„I was just pretending. But I got you good." I tried to imitate Lexa's cold look and her voice.
„Oh I see what you did there." She scoffed.
„But you need to try harder to do this." Her face went cold again.
„Oh no don't do that. You're hot when you look like that but I have enough of that look for like a year." I said a pushed her to the side so I could get in her car. I heard her laugh before I closed the door.

When she sat in the car I could see her smirk in the mirror.
„What?"
„Sooo you think Im hot?"
„Oh my god shut up and let's just go." I hid my face in my hands red from embarrassement.
Lexa laughed, started the car and drove to my house.

School's starting tmrrw and idk if i'll be motivated enough to update if i wasnt even able to do that now. Well idek what was this chapter about i just wrote what was on my mind. Enjoy i guess???
